C15 A Bad Premonition!

I arrived at the Leisure Club.

I saw the Bentley that I had crashed into. This place was indeed the nest of the Ortiz family.

Just as I got out of the car, the driver who was driving the Land Rover walked towards me.

He was tall and strong, and his face was expressionless.

"Ms. Coffey, this way please. Mr. Ortiz is waiting for you."

I took a deep breath. The Ortiz family actually knew that I would come looking for him!

I followed the man in a black suit into a private room.

The scarlet red carpet, the cold light from the light blue lights, the black sofa, everything was so familiar.

I had an inexplicable relationship with someone in this private room and was recorded.

In the corner of the room, there was a large spinning chair. A man was smoking on it.

He was motionless with his back to me. White smoke was lingering around him. I could not see his face clearly, but I could feel a cold air emitting from his body.

Although he did not turn around, I knew that he was the one surnamed Ortiz.

The man in the black suit walked out and closed the door gently.

The man surnamed Ortiz slowly turned around.

His handsome face was cold and expressionless. There was no emotion or warmth in his eyes.

At first glance, he looked familiar.

He was indeed similar to my son, and the more he looked at him, the more he looked like him!

Everything was not a coincidence. He was the person behind the scenes who had planned everything.

His parents' and my father's matters should be related to him.

He slowly stood up from his chair. His every move was noble, as if he was a prince from the royal family.

However, his eyes were cold and evil.

"Do you remember?"

He didn't care about my silence. It seemed that he didn't need my answer to his question.

He lazily raised his hand and pointed to the box beside him. "Open it."

His tone was unquestionable. I walked over and opened the box.

Inside was a neat stack of bills, all of which were worth one hundred dollars.

Judging from the amount, it was probably the one million I wanted.

"Write the IOU."

He pointed to the pen and paper on the table.

I looked at him blankly. "You know that I need money, and all of this was arranged by you, right? What do you want?"

He didn't answer my question. He only said three words, "Do you want it?"

I looked at him. His face was still expressionless.

I had to take this money, I needed this money.

No matter if it was a conspiracy or a trap, I had to go on.

I picked up the pen and paper and started to write the IOU.

But who did I owe money to? I didn't even know his name.

He seemed to have guessed my thoughts. "Carlton."

I looked at him and wrote the words 'I, Priscilla, owe one million dollars to Carlton.'

After writing it, I handed the IOU to him.

He took it and didn't look at it. He said, "Not enough."

I did not understand what he meant. Did he mean that writing the IOU was not enough, and he could not take away the one million?

He took out his phone and dialed, "Bring him in."

Soon, the door of the room opened again. The burly man in black who had led me in came in again. This time, there was a person behind him.

The moment that person came in, the entire room was filled with a stench.

That was a homeless man who lived near the bridge near our unit. He lived there all year round with a group of stray dogs. He had a problem with his brain and would often make strange movements to the pedestrians passing by.

The homeless man looked at me and his eyes lit up. He made a strange sound.

I looked at Carlton and did not understand why he had brought such a stinky and dirty homeless man in.

Carlton looked at the burly man in black, "Clair."

The bodyguard called Clair received the order and explained to me, "Ms. Coffey, our Mr. Ortiz is lending you money. Other than writing the IOU, he has other conditions."

I looked at the homeless man and had a bad feeling in my heart.

"You can sleep with this person for one night and you can take the money."
