C17 Si Nanzhi Went Crazy

Leh Jiu was relishing her newfound freedom as she shopped at the market. In contrast, Si Nanzhi, who had visited the Lu family, found himself on an early return trip to the Pear Garden. He had even packed sweets from the Lu family to share with the little one. But upon arriving at the Pear Garden with treats in hand, Leh Jiu was nowhere to be found. She had escaped!

A storm seemed to gather on Si Nanzhi's striking face, his presence exuding an intense chill reminiscent of a Siberian cold front, piercing to the bone. His eyes, sharp as ice, demanded, "Where is she?"

"This is your idea of security? She's gone and you have no clue? What use do I have for such incompetence?!" he thundered at the bodyguards, who stood frozen, wishing they could dissolve into tears.

They had guarded the house diligently, not a fly could enter, but they were clueless about her escape.

"Young Master, Miss Leh doesn't have any identification, and we're quite far from the city center. She couldn't have gone very far," Lu Xing managed to say, despite the palpable tension.

They had been gone for over three hours. If someone is determined to escape, it can be surprisingly easy.

All Lu Xing could do was silently hope for Leh Jiu's safe return. Otherwise...

With a darkened expression, Si Nanzhi coldly eyed him and commanded, "Then what are you waiting for? Stop wasting time and go find her!"

"Yes, sir," Lu Xing responded.

That wretch better stay hidden, Si Nanzhi thought bitterly. If he found her, he'd break her legs and chain her up!

Meanwhile, Leh Jiu was blissfully unaware of the looming threat, joyfully munching on the snacks Ms. Chen had bought her, oblivious to her own happiness.

Five minutes passed, and Si Nanzhi inquired once more. No sign of her.

Ten minutes later, he asked again. Still, she remained unfound.

"Useless! They're all f*cking useless!"

Si Nanzhi slammed his fist down on a priceless antique ceramic piece.

Lu Xing, wiping the cold sweat from his brow, frantically monitored the surveillance feeds until he spotted Ms. Chen driving out of the Pear Garden.

He paused the footage and hurried to report, "Young Master, we've located her!"

"Where?" Si Nanzhi's gaze turned icy.

Lu Xing approached with a tablet and explained, "The kitchen staff drove Miss Leh off the premises."

The bodyguards were drenched in sweat, cursing under their breath as they realized she had indeed slipped right through their watch.

Si Nanzhi's voice was chillingly cold: "Bring the kitchen staff to me!"

The chef and the helpers lined up, shivering in fear. Before Si Nanzhi could even interrogate them, a frightened maid blurted out tearfully, "Young Master, Ms. Chen always took the lead on the shopping. We had no idea she would abduct Miss Leh. It's not my fault, I swear."

Annoyed, Si Nanzhi furrowed his brow and snapped, "Silence!"

The maid clamped her mouth shut in terror.

"Call her now!"

He was clearly referring to Ms. Chen, the one who had taken Leh Jiu.

Lu Xing dialed the number, only to hear, "The number you have dialed is switched off. Please try again later..."

Lu Xing's heart sank with the automated message.

"Young Master, her phone is switched off!"

Lu Xing internally raged at the unfolding chaos.

In a single day, that traitor had managed to recruit an accomplice!

Si Nanzhi's expression darkened, his teeth clenched in fury, "Check the surveillance. Find out where she went. If you don't bring her back, you can all disappear along with her."

Si Nanzhi would find what he wanted, no matter what it took.

"Yes, Young Master."

Lu Xing had barely moved when a bodyguard burst in, "Young Master, she's returned. Miss Leh is back..."

The bodyguard's news was like rain after a drought, quenching Si Nanzhi's fiery rage and thawing the chill that had settled on everyone.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

It was a relief to have her back.

Ms. Chen pulled the car into the warehouse and was about to call for help with the cargo when a bodyguard escorted her inside.

Leh Jiu was taken aback by the situation.

Before she could utter a word, another bodyguard, his face stoic, intoned, "Miss Leh, the Young Master is expecting you."

Confusion crossed Leh Jiu's face.

She had only taken a few steps when, upon entering the living room, she saw the crowd inside and Ms. Chen being forcibly pushed to her knees before Si Nanzhi.

Leh Jiu stopped in her tracks, her eyes narrowing.

Then Si Nanzhi's voice rang out.

"Jiu, didn't I warn you? If you dare to run, I'll drain your blood!"
