C14 I Want to Chase after You!

Gabriella had gotten her driver's license for a long time, but she rarely drove. Damian's car was especially good, so she was scared all the way. Even so, Greyson's heavy gaze from the passenger seat made her unable to ignore it.

He leaned over and placed his hand on the armrest. He stared at her intently and said, “You look average. Why do they all say you’re a goddess?” He had just been in the spa, so he had heard what Gabriella and the others had to say. He then said seriously, “Especially with that dimples. Ugly.”

Gabriella tried her best to pretend that he was just air.

“Is that man the one you like? He’s not that good.”

Gabriella ignored him. He was still confused. "Why didn't you say anything today?"

To be honest, Gabriella was even more confused than he was. Thinking of her teacher's request, she lowered the speed of the car and said, "Then why are you talking so much today?"

It was the first time they had met, so he hadn’t talked much.

Greyson fell silent. Just as Gabriella was reflecting on whether she had asked too straightforwardly, he suddenly said, "I want to chase after you." He looked at her and said, "Can I?"

Gabriella's mental fortitude was still very good. She could not help but laugh when she heard that. "Don't make fun of me. My driving skills are really bad."

“Why are you laughing?” Greyson asked, “Am I not serious enough?”

No, Gabriella thought to herself. Who would care about a computer? Greyson's tone did not have the slightest bit of shyness or nervousness. He was more like he was completing a task.

She decided to talk to him and treat him as her own patient. "Mr. Warren, have you ever been in a relationship before?"

"Does that have anything to do with me?"

Gabriella smiled. "If you have been in a relationship before, you should know that the real love is not something like this."

"Oh." His tone was indifferent. "What is it like?"

"What is it like?" There was a red light in front of them. Gabriella slowly stopped the car and gently tapped the steering wheel with her white fingers. "The real love is to be reserved, modest, and even shy when you love someone. It is not to show off your passion and intimacy."

"Who said that?"

"Our great proletarian pioneer Marx."

"Did Marx ever say that?" Greyson did not believe it. "Then the great poet Balzac also said that love is a rational indulgence, a masculine and serious enjoyment."

Gabriella laughed when she heard this. Greyson was more interesting than she had imagined. At least he had paid attention to love. Otherwise, he would not have noticed Balzac's words.

Perhaps this was also the reason why he was so cold to her.

He was being rational and serious. All of his attention was on the word ‘rational’ and ‘serious’.

She didn’t argue with him anymore. After the red light went off, she continued to move forward. Greyson picked up the phone and said, “It’s here… turn right.”

"Right turn" was what Gabriella had told him. He had reminded her in a timely manner. Gabriella followed his instructions and didn't walk too far before she saw a large iron gate.

It was finally here. Greyson hung up the phone and said, “Get in.”

Gabriella looked at him and he turned to look at her. Gabriella asked, "Can you walk in by yourself?"

She remembered that this place was a mountain, but she did not know when the mountain had been leveled. There were small, independent buildings inside. In such a strange place, after the iron gate was surrounded by walls, it looked like a dark castle at night. Gabriella did not want to go in.

Greyson seemed to see through her. “Are you scared?” He was a little surprised. He comforted her, “We’ve already slept together, what are you afraid of?”
