C5 CHAPTER 5

LILIANA POINT OF VIEW

It has been three weeks since Nathaniel left, and I have been thinking about him ever since. He is my second-chance mate, that fact alone has been blowing my mind since then. I groan as I get out of bed, feeling hungry and a bit nauseous.

“Jady.” I hear my Mom, and frown, deciding not to answer. I have been feeling odd these past few weeks, feeling annoyed, on edge, my body has been betraying me, given that I am currently sick.

I force myself to get up, and get dressed for the day.

“Jade.” Mom says as I walk past the living room

“Pick up those bottles, Mom, maybe even check yourself into rehab.” I snap, and walk out, not smiling till I get to my bookshop. I feel so hungry and angry.

I hear a knock and walk out with a forced smile.

“Good morning, what can I do for you?”

The woman before me smiles, she seems vaguely familiar, and when she speaks, I realize I have heard her voice before.

“Two souls intertwined, by fate they’re bound

In shadows deep, their destiny found

A werewolf’s strength and a witch’s grace

Together they’ll shape the world’s embrace

Unaware of their power, they’ll unite,

A journey fraught with darkness and light

Through trials and tribulations, they’ll grow

A force unstoppable, they’ll grow to know

From their union, a child will rise,

A beacon of hope, a tempest guide

Too powerful to fathom, too bright to see

A catalyst for change, their legacy

In every step, the world will tremble

As their journey unfolds, no time to dissemble

With courage and love, they will forge their way,

A Prophesy fulfilled come what may”

“The Fuck?” I say to her

“It is time, Lilliana.” She hands me a paper, with the prophesy written on it, when I look up, she is gone.

___

“Hi, I am Lilliana Steel and here to see Nathaniel Carter.” I say to the guard, standing by the Alpha’s mansion.

“Wait here.” He says, and I do, but he takes too long, so I sneak in, only to hear conversations.

“I am going there, so back the fuck up.”

Nathaniel, who is he talking to, and where is he going?

“The woman was so fucking weird, she spoke about a prophesy, about Lily. Don’t stop me Roman.”

Oh, me.

I trail their voices, and walk to where there are.

“Lillianna?” Roman says when he sees me.

“Yes, Lily.”

“Hi.” I say, and Nate jerks upright, turning to me.

“Pretty Girl.” He grins, and walks to me, making me blush, before kissing me senseless.

“What is going on?” Someone says, and we pull away reluctantly.

“Lake, this is Lilliana, my mate. Lily, this is Lake, my sister.” He says, and I nod, my blood thumping, there’s a fastness to the way my blood pounds now that I am here with him.

“We need to talk.” I say, pulling out the paper, and he stiffens, seemingly remembering the prophesy and whatnot.

“You got one too?” Roman says and I nod.

“Fuck.” He says.

Fuck, indeed.

“I am Alpha Lucien Carter, and this is my beautiful Luna, Rain.”

I stare at them, and I nod, then glance at Nate, who seems to be on edge.

“I’m Lilliana Jade Steel, from Golden Claw Pack. Your hair is beautiful, Luna.” I say, the last part an afterthought.

“I like yours too, pregnancy looks radiant on you.” She beams and I freeze.

“What?” I whisper and she gasps.

“You didn’t know? I am so sorry for saying it like that, you look over three weeks.” She says, and there’s a ringing in my ear.

“What the actual fuck!” Nate yells, and the ringing persist. A baby, a fucking baby.

“Sit down, Nathaniel.” Lucien says, but he doesn’t, he just keeps unnerving me, why is he freaking out, I am the one that have a prophesy baby in my stomach.

“Sit down, Nate.” Luna says, but he doesn’t.

“Sit the fuck down, Christian.” I say, he looks at me, and sits.

Almost immediately, six people walk in. Roman, Lark, two people who looks like Christian’s parents and two women.

“What is going on, Nathaniel?”

“Hey, Mom.” He says, and fills her in.

“Oh, that doesn’t sound so good. How are you doing, darling? I am Dave and this is my wife, Casey.” His Dad says, and I smile.

“I’m Lilliana.”

“Hi, I am Rose and this is Dove.” The brown haired woman says, gesturing to her friend, sister or something.

“The prophesy, after much analysis and understanding, we tried to read between the lines, and we realize that we didn’t need to. It is very obvious, glaring. Lillianna, why did you come here all the way from Boston when you got the prophesy?” Dave says, and I frown.

“It felt ominous, I guess, and he did say I should call him whenever. I freaked out.”

“Very well, you do realize that there’s a baby inside you.”

“I think I’m going to vomit in the next twenty minutes.” I gag at the mention of a baby.

“I am very sorry at the suddenness of everything, but you should know that your union poses a danger to humanity, with your baby, which is your legacy. We need to prepare, war is coming.”

“That’s enough. Come on, Lily.” Christian says and he tugs me to my feet. We get into his car, and I am quiet, the ringing in my ear, persisting. I am having a baby, and the world is coming to an end, because of Nate and I.

___

“This is my place for now, I am still working on something bigger.” He says as he leads me to a cabin near the woods.

We walk inside in silence, and I ruminate. He has someone to call, I don’t, that thought makes me feel lonelier than ever. The cabin is very beautiful, decorated manly, of course.

“Hey, pretty girl, come here.” He says, I didn’t even realize I have been standing staring into nothing for minutes.

I walk to him and sit on his lap. His hand rest on my stomach, and I bite my lips.

“A fucking baby.” He says in disbelief.

“I can raise the baby on my own.” I sat, thinking he doesn’t want this.

“Fuck that, this is our baby. I am not going to let anything happen to you, you need to be safe.” He says, and I nod, wondering if I should tell him about the dream, or the poem’s part that called me a witch.
