C13 Don't Leave Me
In the darkness of the room, Jian Xiaodan relied on the brightness of her cell phone to ease the fear in her heart. She tightly wrapped the blanket around her, and her small body couldn't help but tremble.
Deep in her memory, the same night, the same stormy weather, her mother had died of illness. Even though she was still young, she still couldn't forget it.
Her mother looked at her weakly with tears in her eyes. Big hands tightly held her small hands, finally regardless of how she cried, the mother still closed her eyes.
Mom!
Memories became clearer and clearer. Jian Xiaodan's body trembled more and more. 'Mom, Mom, don't leave me!'
"Rumble!" There was a dull sound of thunder.
Jian Xiaodan screamed. "Ah!
She curled up her body tightly, her hands tightly grabbing onto the blanket. She hated the dark night, and she was even more afraid of thunder. She couldn't stop herself from crying. She wanted to find her mother.
"Jian Xiaodan!" The door slammed, and Huo Jingqing strode to the bed and lifted her quilt with one hand.
"Jian Xiaodan!"
I heard her screaming in the house, and as soon as I entered the room I heard her crying like a small animal. That feeling was like a small stone smashing into his heart. It was so painful and astringent.
Feeling her body trembling, Huo Jingqing pulled away from the quilt and directly held her small hand, "Jian Xiaodan." He controlled his emotions and called her name softly.
Jian Xiaodan was pulled back from her memory by Huo Jingqing's voice. When she opened her eyes, tears were so bright that she couldn't see clearly. However, she knew that it was Huo Jingqing. He's here, she doesn't need to be alone anymore!
Jian Xiaodan suddenly stood up and threw herself into Huo Jingqing's arms, crying loudly.
"Don't... Don't leave me. "Don't..." She clasped her hands around him, afraid that he would leave her.
Tears instantly soaked his chest. Huo Jingqing frowned and patted her back lightly with his big hand.
"I won't leave." His voice was soft and gentle, as if he was coaxing a child.
Jian Xiaodan cried until her voice was hoarse. Under his comforting words, her cries gradually died down.
Huo Jingqing adjusted his posture and held her in his arms. Jian Xiaodan sobbed softly and gradually calmed down.
Jian Xiaodan's forehead was covered in sweat from crying too hard, so Huo Jingqing carefully wiped it off for her with a tissue. Her large hands were still gently patting her, while Jian Xiaodan, who was in her embrace, was sobbing softly with her eyes closed. Her delicate and tender appearance suddenly made Huo Jingqing want to protect her for life.
"No, don't leave me, Xiaodan. Xiaodan would be afraid. " Lili sobbed until she was a little dazed, her fingers still tightly grasping his clothes as she sobbed in his arms.
"En, I won't leave you. Sleep." Warm, dry hands gently wiped the tears from her cheeks and clasped her in their embrace.
Jian Xiaodan had a dream. She dreamed that she was in a small, warm, bright house with a fluffy carpet, a large, white bed, and a soft, powdery blanket. She took off her clothes and threw herself on the bed. So warm, so comfortable.
Jian Xiaodan's whimpering voice became smaller and smaller. Huo Jingqing wanted to put her down and sleep comfortably. However, Jian Xiaodan hugged him tighter and tighter. Her small hand still followed the open shirt and reached into his shirt. Her small hand restlessly touched his chest.
