It was on the fourth day of my stay that I learned about my injury. I had a broken calf bone, a comminuted fracture.

According to my attending doctor, the bone had penetrated the skin, and blood flowed all over the ground, making it look extremely horrifying. Fortunately, the operation went well, or I would have been disabled.

I was worried that my mom would know about this
