Following morning I groaned as I got up from bed and made my way to the sitting room, everywhere was messy filled with cigarette butts, drinks, trashy foods and all

Most people were sprawled on the ground snoring heavily dad and mom were among them

I shook my head in disgust and made my way back to my room to prepare for the day's activity

Few minutes later I was already done, I selected a baggy pants and a blue tank top, I had to move carefully so I won't step on them

Phew I'm glad I got out without waking anyone because if mom sees me at home she'll ask me to clean which I hate doing

How can Gonzales be so stupid and naive to lend money from the dreaded Alejandro, that guy is the most dreaded mafia and drug lord here in mexico even the cops can't get him

In no time now Ava will be here demanding news and I have no choice than to tell her the truth

I raced down to Derrick's pub and luckily I met him smoking a cigarette as usual

"Hi Derrick "

"Hey kid how're you?? " he said ruffling my hair

"I'm fine and you?? " I beamed

"I know you're here concerning the story on how your father got money "

She nodded and looked on expectantly

I went on " my men found out your father borrowed some money from Alejandro Moreno "

"What!! "I gulped in shock

"Alejandro???, are you sure about this Derrick " I questioned him still confused

"My men have good informants who are competent in what they do "

"Why on earth will father collect money from Alejandro, I mean that guy is described to be the devil himself, ever since I was a kid I've heard stories about the mean man who kills at any slight opportunity he gets, he never laughs, he's got a really cold personality and all

Though I've never come across him and I'll never want to meet him, not in this life and not in the next

"Are you alright?? " Derrick asked and I jolted back to reality

"Yeah I'm fine I guess I'll be on my way now and thanks for the info "

"You know I'm supposed to get paid for this information? "

"I got fired at work " I replied

"I'll see you around Derrick " I doubt if he heard me

I hoped on my bike and drove home, when I got home the house was looking a lot more better mom was cleaning and at the same time making breakfast while father was still asleep

"Ava where have you been?? I've been looking all over for you "

"I was at Derrick's "I replied going upstairs

"There's something you need to know if you're done"

"Which is?? "

I ignored her

She followed me to my room

"What is it Ava?? Besides you don't look to good"

"Father lent the money from Alejandro "

Mom screamed in shock

"What!!!! "

"How'd You find out??? "

"How I found out is not the problem here mom " I replied sternly

"But why would your father lend money just to throw a party??? Has he suddenly lost it?? How's he going to raise such huge amount of money to pay back?? "

Just then my door creaked open

It was father

"What is this I'm hearing about you lending money from Alejandro?? "Mother asked him obviously pissed off

"What money are you talking about?? "

"Don't play smart with me Gonzales you know what I'm talking about "

"The money I'm spending is the winnings of my bet "

I shook my head in disgust

"Bet??? What stupid bet?? "

"I placed a bet which paid off "

"But Derrick said you've never won a bet" I chipped in obviously bored of his stupid lies

"And who said I play at Derrick's pub "

Just as I was about to reply him

We heard the honking of a car, immediately I went to the window and I saw a man dressed in suit come down from the car heading towards our front porch

"Alejandro is here " I announced
