C9 ENEMITY; THE TRUTH

Alaina's POV

I woke up with a severe headache, I didn't knew much but I was sure that I was suffering from a major hangover. I held my head in my hands trying to focus a little.

"These might help" a painkiller was pushed into my hand with a glass of water. I looked at the figure, calmness washing over me.

I relished the whole glass in one go. closing my eyes shut for few minutes, trying to relax my breathing but when the events of last night crashed my mind and I opened my eyes abruptly.

A black velvety comforter was draped over my body which I found to be fully clothed underneath with the previous night's dress.

"I guess you need some help there." Now that I was done checking myself, I squinted my eyes towards the other person in room- Ryan, I took a look of the room.....grey walls but my room wasn't grey.

"Oh my goddess! where am I?, What happened?My parents, god, I never informed them."I tried to get up but my body thought better of it.

"Relax, just relax for a second. Do you remember last night?" he moved over to sit beside me maintaining a respectful distance, like he was treating an injured pup"

" I remembered someone-" my gaze downcast with embarrassment and jaw clenched with self loathing. "I didn't like the person touching me at club, I tried to resent it- I-I am sorry for causing so much trouble." A sigh left my lips.

"Look I don't know what's bothering you but running from your problems will not provide you with solution." His eyes held a shade of protectiveness and care for me.

"It's personal" I wasn't going to narrate my entire sob story to him, I guess I needed time.

He patted my head.

"Tell us when you are up for it, we informed your parents ,stating that you were not well and slept a night at your friend's. I guess you are going to be in trouble for a few days." he grinned at me trying to lighten my mood. To which I returned a feeble smile back.

"How did you find me?"

"Cally told us, by the way, she is coming here in an hour. You should eat by the time, let me get you something" I held his wrist for a second ,releasing it the other.

"Ryan, did you saved me? Were you the person who held me last night?" he nodded his head and before he could comprehend I hugged the life out of him.

"Thank you, it meant a lot to me." his arms came to held me for a second before letting go.

"I need to go." he turned and left the room.

She wasn't helping, Ryan was in a big mess. What he didn't knew was that she was in a bigger one.

Cally pov

Like I said earlier to them, she was safe, she didn't needed them but I was glad that we found her.

Aunt and Uncle were keen to get their daughter back and they wanted to come personally to take her but after several pleadings I got the permission to go myself.

Right now I was driving towards the parking area of the mansion which the boys had given me details of.

The said mansion was of normal size but homey look, it appeared to have brown,mahogany wooden frames with flowering plants of variations hanging with various lamp posts in garden. A lush carpet of green grass adorned the way.

I got out of the car admiring my surroundings. A pool at it's other end was in view-wait was that a glass sheet covering it's surface-

A hand pulled me towards the other way- Ace, what was this boy's freaking problem?

"Sorry! there are dangerous insects near that lake" Oh! He was saving me.

"No problem ,thanks, um where is she?" I asked with little enthusiasm.

"I told you she wasn't endangered in any way." I mocked him.

"Definitely, if you call being drugged and nonconsently touched 'safe' then she was safe." The vein in his arm began to twitch with the jaw setting hard.

"Wait, how...W-What?'

"You are a toxic person Calliope." I couldn't utter a single word out before he went out of my sight with his knuckles turning white with force.

My heart felt heavy with remorse.

"Why are you here?" Ok I wasn't expecting that from her.

"I-I am here to see you Laina, to take you back" I couldn't meet her eyes, they were puffy red from crying.

"No need to show as if you care, you don't." She replied calmly.

"You claimed to never disappoint me but see where we are." she stood up and came in front of me.

Truth to be told I knew from where she was coming, I knew it well. I would have never forgiven her if I was in her case. A tear rolled down her eyes "I-I Laina don't cry, please".

"You need to stay away from me, just pretend we don't know each other." She hugged herself, it looked heart wrenching .

"I came for you. I can't pretend such thing Alaina." I replied pathetically when she stopped sobbing but her tears of agony didn't stopped.

"It took you a freaking month to notice me. I never gave up on you, but you know what ,I am just tired, now I just don't care" her voice was not above a whisper.

"You won't be the first one not to care, you know what you have taken everything from me, even my father's love and attention".I was now angry with her behavior.

"Love and attention! YOUR FATHER ABUSED ME, FUCKING CHAINED ME TO WALLS TO GET THIS EMPIRE FOR YOU! HE FUCKING HATES ME! and guess what he sold me." Her voice got grave at the end.
