She stared at the wolf, puzzled, struggling to grasp its intentions. The creature blinked, its long lashes fluttering, as if trying to communicate. It seemed to be prompting her to do something, but she couldn't quite decipher its message.

"Should I close my eyes?" Annabelle eventually asked, observing the wolf's peculiar behaviour. It responded with a nod, heaving a sigh and rolling its eyes
