After breakfast, Mu Dong headed upstairs. There wasn't much to do today, so he prepared to tidy up his room.

That year, when Mu Dongdong and Cheng Suxin were married, Cheng Suxin had a car accident before they even had a chance to live. Mu Dongfang no longer had the mood to live alone in a cold house, so he let his brother, Mu Zexi, help him deal with the house.

After that, Mu Dongfang rarely returned home, and the room he stayed in was still the same as it was back then.

At the end of the second floor was where Mu Dong lived. The chilly wind blew through the window and through the window, one could see gardenias blooming brilliantly in the garden. Under the sunlight, the white flowers looked even whiter. A faint fragrance assaulted their nostrils, causing people to feel joyful.

The furnishings in the room were simple. A row of bookshelves were filled to the brim with books. Upon closer inspection, there were all kinds of books arranged neatly on the shelves.

Mu Dongfang was an activist. Since he was going to organize everything, he might as well start organizing the books in the first row.

Normally, there would be a regular staff member responsible for cleaning the room. If he really wanted to clean it, he wouldn't have to spend too much effort.

Mu Dong took the books off the shelf one by one and carefully wiped the dust off the bookshelf with a cloth. His movements were exceptionally serious.

When he placed the book on the shelf, it caught Mu Dongfang's attention. It was a collection of poems by Xi Muren, beautifully bound and slightly out of place in the midst of numerous military books.

Mu Dongfang pulled over a chair, held a book in his hand, and started to flip through the pages. On the title page of the book, there was a sentence written in delicate handwriting: To my lover, the name is' Pure Heart '.

No matter how much he tried, it was all in vain. The book was still a book, and the once beautiful woman had already become a wisp of her soul.

East, did I dream of you yesterday? Do you remember me this time?

Seven days have passed since we parted in the east. I've been counting my fingers for the past few days.

East,...

East,...

A man was sitting in front of a desk with a book in his hands. He had a sharp and clear face and his thin lips were slightly pursed, as if he was trying his best to restrain himself. A trace of sadness was tinged in his eyes.

Those memories, in this gardenia-blooming season, appeared as an accident in front of Mu Dongfang's eyes. At this moment, deep in his heart, Mu Dong was deeply reminiscing about his deceased wife, Cheng Su. He remembered the warmth and beauty that the beautiful woman had brought him. He remembered the initial appearance and warmth of love, but had lost the ability to love.

When Xia Mu walked out of the market with his bags and bags, Jiang Si Ran was already waiting in front of the car.

Seeing Xia Mu's shadow, Jiang Si Ran quickly went forward to greet him. He took the bag from Xia Mu and asked, "You bought so many things?"

"It's rare for big brother to come back, so I'll have to show off my skills." Xia Mu replied with a smile.

"Mom, why have you been gone so long?" Nannan leaned against the window and asked.

"Do you listen to your uncle obediently?" Xia Mu got into the car and sat in the back with the two children.

"I do!" The baby answered first.

Nannan looked at the baby and lazily replied, "Of course, I am an elder sister and I am very obedient." However, he did not ask about his father's matter. It seemed that he still needed to think of a way to find his father. Oh right, the uncle he met at the hospital, why didn't he give me a call? He didn't know if he would have the chance to see his uncle again.

The car stopped in front of the courtyard's entrance and Xia Mu first carried the baby out of the car. When he turned around to hug Nannan, he discovered that his daughter was already in Jiang Si Ran's embrace.

"Nannan, don't pester uncle."

"I like Uncle." Hearing Xia Mu's words, Nannan wrapped her arms around Jiang Si Ran's neck and announced as if she was in possession, "Uncle also loves Nannan the most." His eyes were filled with pride.

Jiang Si Ran smiled and kissed Nannan as he hugged Nannan with one arm. He then bent down to pick up the baby by Xia Mu's side and kissed the baby as he said, "They are all my obedient baby. Come on, let's go home! "

Carrying the dishes, Xia Mu smiled as he looked at the three people, one big and two small.

In the courtyard, Jiang Si Ran was accompanying his two children. Nannan took out her little drawing board and showed it to Jiang Si Ran as if she was offering a treasure. Jiang Si Ran chatted with the child while he paid attention to Xia Mu who was busy in the kitchen, wondering if he should help.

"Uncle, uncle." Nannan pushed Jiang Si Ran.

Jiang Si Ran regained his senses and asked with a smile, "What happened to Nannan?"

"Uncle, don't keep looking at Mom. Don't worry, Mom's culinary skills are very good. She can cook a lot of delicious things."

Jiang Si Ran was a bit embarrassed after the child revealed his thoughts. He raised his hand to tug on Nannan's braid and smiled as he asked, "Uncle is worried that your mother will be tired." Yes, his heart ached for this little girl, as long as he thought of her, his heart would ache. Although the Xia family's conditions were ordinary, Xia Mu hadn't suffered much. The past few years had been difficult for him to bring along his two children. There was no need to think too much about it. Jiang Si Ran felt uncomfortable in his heart. This discomfort made Jiang Si Ran's resentment towards the irresponsible man after he finished eating his food even more intense.

"Nannan, you play with my brother. Uncle will go see Mommy."

"Go, go." Nannan waved her small hand and boldly said.

The narrow kitchen suddenly went dark. Xia Mu looked up and saw Jiang Siran leaning against the door.

"Big brother, why did you come in?" As Xia Mu's hand was chopping meat, he asked with a smile on his face.

"Do you need help?" The man walked in as he spoke.

"No need, I'm already used to it. Big brother, are you hungry? There's still some biscuits in the room, I'll bring them to you. " As he spoke, Xia Mu stopped what he was doing and turned around, smashing into a sturdy chest.

Jiang Si Ran extended his arm and placed Xia Mu in his territory.

"Little Mo Er …" A man's voice rang out in the narrow room.

"Big brother, you're blocking the way." Xia Mu looked up at Jiang Si Ran before quickly lowering his head.

"Little Mo'er, what's on the ground?" As he spoke, he took a few steps forward.

"No, nothing." Suddenly, Xia Mu started to panic.

"Was the ground as beautiful as me?" The warm breath stuck to Xia Mu's ear and sounded.

He was so close to her that Xia Mu felt like he didn't even need to move. Even his breath was laced with his scent.

"Big brother, you …" Before he could finish, he was pulled into Jiang Si Ran's embrace.

Xia Mu's entire body became stiff, as if, other than that vague night, she had never had any intimate contact with a man before. During his youth, Jiang Siran had more often appeared as a companion in Xia Mu's life. Now, that youth of his had grown into a magnificent, handsome man. That familiarity and unfamiliar feeling made Xia Mu unable to follow him.

A thick palm pressed against the girl, and a tempting voice resounded in his ears as he softly asked, "Little Mo Er, your heart is beating really fast!" When the last syllable was uttered, it was slightly raised. The man's pair of peach blossom eyes were sparkling with charm.

The sunset rays passed through the windows and shined in a slanted manner. On the platform, a shadow fell.

Xia Mu was completely surrounded by Jiang Si Ran. The kitchen table behind him had nowhere to retreat to. The man in front of him was closing in on him step by step. Xia Mu felt as if he couldn't breathe smoothly.

The light of the setting sun shone on Jiang Si Ran's face, making him look even more devilish. The man's eyes were slightly lowered as he smiled and lowered his head to look at the girl in his embrace.

This distance was simply too close. He had already passed the safe distance. Xia Mu's hand, which had been hanging by his side, lifted up. He carefully made sure that he did not touch Jiang Si Ran's chest while protecting himself.

"Big brother, stop messing around." Xia Mu pursed his lips and lightly spoke. His tone was as if he was speaking to a naughty Nannan.

Causing trouble?

Jiang Si Ran was absolutely sure that he didn't want to cause any trouble. When he was in the yard, he was talking with the two children while he couldn't help but look into the kitchen. From the open window, he could see the girl who was busy at the counter, wearing an apron and cutting vegetables with her head lowered.

From time to time, the girl would look up at the courtyard and say, "Nannan, stop messing around with your uncle." After which, the girl lowered her head and continued with her actions.

Jiang Si Ran's heart was suddenly filled with a sense of satisfaction. He was sitting under a tree in this small yard with a child playing by his side. The distance between them was the little girl he was thinking about in his heart.

The satisfaction in his heart urged Jiang Si Ran to do something, and he followed his true thoughts. He entered the kitchen and hugged someone. Seeing Xia Mu's frightened appearance, a flower bloomed in his heart.

"Little Mo Er …" The man's voice seemed to carry some magic as he shouted these three ordinary words. It made people feel as if the voice and the actions were coming from his heart.

The sound of "Little Mo Er" made Xia Mu's heart beat even faster. Not only did she not dare to raise her head, but she even lowered it a little. Her cheeks became hotter and her ears started to turn red.

As if enchanted, the surroundings seemed to have stopped. Xia Mu could only hear a low voice calling out:

"Little Mo'er, Little Mo'er …"
