C4 Chapter 4

Walking out to her car, she decide not to call her driver and just drive herself today, with no place to go in mind she roam around the street driving at a very slow speed. After disappearing years back her father was no where to be found and she has to take over the company earlier than planned without preparations at all. A year after, that crazy woman filed a case against her and her father in court and due to the concrete evidence she has and so as to retain the company's image Laura give in and allow her and her son in the house, when Nicolas was in need of a job she decide to offer him a place in the company believing it was not his fault but his parent fault but that was one of the biggest mistake she has made and now he is threatening to take the company from her.

Laura sighed and was bought back to reality by the sound of her phone ringing. She checked who the caller is and it turns out to be Avan.

She hissed as she cut the call and speed up more driving. She felt angry at everything, for days now she has been trying to get in touch with him but he just ignore her so why is he calling her now? She hissed again and finally pull up in front of a restaurant then decide to come down and grab something to eat before going back to the office, she entered and took a sit at a far corner to avoid drawing any attention to herself.

The waiter walk up to her and gave her the menu list, she quickly pick the first thing on the list and returned it to the waiter who in turn left to get her order. Laura bought out her phone and saw a message from her secretary telling her that she has been able to find out the person behind TT companies, she sprang to her feet instantly and start to walk out of the restaurant bumping into someone in the process

"oh am sorry" she apologized without looking up and left. Chris who was standing there with his mother was startled when he was hit by an unknown woman and immediately she apologized and ran out not giving him a chance to say anything at all but hearing that voice Chris was more shocked. Although he has left for a very long time now but he will still recognize her voice anywhere and at anytime

"don't mind that too much, so when are you coming back home exactly?" his mother asked. Chris turn to her and just nod his head not answering her question

"see you later" he simply said and left

He entered the car and put a call through to Ken after talking on the phone for a few seconds, he cut the call and focus on driving then his mind went back to the voice he heard earlier. After leaving for seven years, he came back to the country a year ago and saw that the state of PK group of company is far from what it used to be. Although he has convinced himself several times that he doesn't have any feeling for her again but hearing her voice seems to bring back those buried memories.

After leaving the country, Chris continued his education alongside working for his uncle. Although none of his mother's family accepted him except his grandfather who make sure to give him everything including introducing him to one of his Chinese business partner who help him to start his career and with his maternal grandfather's help and connection and his intelligence he was able to develop the company well and its grew faster but after his grandfather died a year back he decided to come back to china and start a branch for his company here although he doesn't mean to but it seems like he is always clashing with her company and some weeks back, his assistant told him someone is trying to dig into his company abroad and trying to find out about him. He had kept his identity as the owner of the company because he planned to return after some months from now so he told ken to block all information about him. Instead of going back to the company, he decide to go straight home instead
