C17 Ninth Master Huo Was Domineering and Ruthless and He Was Ruthless in His Actions!

In the lobby, a few Lin's employees were passing by. When they saw Bai Xinyan walk in, they turned and whispered among themselves. Although their voices were low, every word reached Bai Xinyan's ears. She rolled her eyes dramatically and continued toward the front desk.

If she didn't have important business to handle today, she would have marched right over and confronted them. These people were spreading lies and stirring up trouble—it was infuriating. The rumor about her spending the night in Lin Huaizhong's office was completely false. That day, she had gone to discuss withdrawing funds, and upon opening the door, found Lin Huaizhong collapsed on the floor with a few pills scattered nearby. If she hadn't acted quickly to help him, the Lin company might have changed hands by now.

The whispers persisted, and Bai Xinyan was fuming inside, tempted to confront them. But a voice in her head kept reminding her, "Don't argue with fools..." Yes, exactly, don't argue with fools. Taking a deep breath, she convinced herself to let it go and continued toward the front desk.

Reaching the desk, Bai Xinyan put on a polite smile and greeted the receptionist, "Hello, miss. Is Mr. Lin available? I need to see him!" The receptionist was a pretty young woman in her twenties, with a naturally made-up face.

She noticed it was Bai Xinyan and a hint of disdain flickered across her face. Despite her feelings, as the receptionist, she had to remain professional. Besides, Mr. Lin had instructed that Jiang Xiner should be allowed to go directly to his office without any announcement.

"Yes, Miss Jiang, you can take the elevator straight up," the receptionist said with a slight, indifferent smile.

According to company policy, the receptionist was supposed to escort guests to the elevator, but it was clear she didn't like Bai Xinyan, so she merely pointed the way.

Bai Xinyan didn't mind and continued to smile as she nodded and headed to the elevator.

Lin Huaizhong's office was on the top floor of the building. Bai Xinyan had been there before, so she knew the way. She pressed the elevator button and stepped inside. The numbers on the elevator screen changed rapidly until it finally stopped.

The top floor of Lin's building housed only Lin Huaizhong's office and a conference room, making it very quiet.

Bai Xinyan exited the elevator and walked down the hallway toward Lin Huaizhong's office.

Lin Huaizhong, the chairman of Lin's, had an office that was lavishly decorated. The partitions and bookshelves were adorned with many valuable collectibles. He sat in his office chair, his ample belly pressed against the dark red desk.

His fingers were tensely intertwined as he raised an eyebrow, cautiously sizing up the man in the wheelchair across from him, hoping to glean something from his expression. Yet, after a long look, he couldn't discern anything. The man's pale, handsome face remained cold and indifferent, devoid of any emotion.

Dressed in a dark suit, he sat upright in the wheelchair. Despite a hint of frailty in his appearance, an aura of cool nobility emanated from him, instilling a sense of awe. This man was known as the Ninth Master, the one who had ordered the club's exits sealed yesterday and disrupted the engagement ceremony.

Rumor had it that the Ninth Master was ruthless and domineering, leaving no room for retreat, and it seemed to be true. His actions were akin to a direct slap in the face for both him and Fourth Huo. Yet, despite the audacity of a younger man delivering such a blow, he could only seethe in silence, for the Ninth Master was a legendary figure in the business world.
