C4 Chapter 4

Hilda and Elenore were escorted by some of her fathers bodyguards.

They arrived at the spa. Hilda wasn't in the mood for anything. Her mom was the one who wanted a nice time. Elenore asked for a massage because she knew her daughter needed to relax.

"Give us a nice time will you?" Elenore said.

Soon Hilda could finally get some rest. She relaxed, the masseur was really good at his job and she forgot about her troubles momentarily.

Her mom was right, that was just what she needed to relax.

After her spa session, her mom wanted them to go shopping so she could get her mind off things. And perhaps, dinner out. But Elenore's phone buzzed.

"Oh it's your dad." She said to Hilda.

"Hey honey." Elenore greeted.

"Hey sweetie. I heard you're with Hilda and you both went to the spa?"

"Yes we did. Actually, we were both about to go shopping at the mall." Elenore said.

"That would have to wait."

"Why? What's wrong ?" Elenore asked.

"Actually, Alexander had asked me to remind Hilda to go pick out her dress."

"Oh you're right, I almost forgot she needed that. Not to worry, I'll take her to the shop."

"I'll text you the address, Alexander had already paid for the services."

"Oh, okay." Elenore said she turned to Hilda.

"What did dad say?" Hilda asked.

"We're going shopping."

"Shopping?"

"You are getting married you need a dress for the ceremony."

"Mom I..."

"Sweetie, there's nothing you can do. Your dad already called, we're going to the shop."

Elenore said patiently.

"Okay." Hilda said following her mother. They got into the car and drove off to the shop where Albert texted Elenore.

"Welcome. You must be Miss Thompson." Lily the shop owner greeted.

"Yes." Hilda answered.

"Welcome. So, let me show you our latest and best designs, come." She signalled, and Hilda and Elenore followed her.

Of course she would be respectful to the young lady in front of her. Alexander had paid for the services and he expected her to do a good job which she intended to.

The shop was huge; it had different clothes, not wedding dresses, which made Hilda think at first that they were in the wrong place.

"Sir, Miss Thompson has arrived at Mrs Lily's store." A bodyguard reported.

"Okay."

Hilda was looking around, the wedding dresses were just so exquisite and beautiful. She didn't know where to start. She wanted something simple for her wedding.

"Found anything yet?" Her mom asked.

"No not yet."

"Try this one." Her mother said pointing at a very beautiful white dress. It was wide and beautiful she was certain the dress would make her look like a princess but she felt it wouldn't be convenient for her.

"Mom I don't..."

"Just try it."

"Your mom is right Miss Thompson. If there's anything wrong with it, I'll personally wouldn't let you wear it." Lily said with a smile.

"Okay." Hilda said reluctantly.

Lily asked some of her attendants to help Hilda try the dress on.

Soon Hilda came out looking absolutely beautiful and stunning.

"You look beautiful dear."

"Thanks mom."

"Come check yourself out. In the mirror."

Hilda opened her eyes wide open. Yes she was born into a wealthy home but she really looked pretty in the wedding dress.

"Can I try something else? If it's not as pretty as this I'll wear this one." Hilda said.

"Of course this is a dress fitting after all." Lily said with a smile even if she wanted everything in the stall it was all hers.

Hilda found a dress that was beautiful and suited her temperament. She didn't want to look like a princess; she was marrying the devil. It was only suitable to wear what she felt like wearing.

She tried on a dress with a mermaid tail.

She came out wanting to ask her mom and the shop owner how she looks but another voice startled her.

"You look beautiful." Alexander said.

"You... What are you doing here?" Hilda asked, surprised.

"Is that how to greet your Fiance? Anyway, I came over here to tell you we're going out this evening." He said casually.

"Why?" Hilda asked slightly panicked but she hid her emotions well.

"We're going for a photo shoot."

"What? A photo shoot?" Hilda asked.

"We are getting married and someone leaked this information to the public." Alexander said.

"I thought everything was to be kept quiet. You just became my fiance".

"Actually I've been your fiance for years."

"Well, I only found out about it two months ago. If you really were my fiance all along, why haven't you shown up? Why suddenly show up now?"

"My reasons are not of your concern." Alexander said coldly.

"Yes they should be. This is my life we're discussing."

"I'm sure your dad told you about the engagement that you were five when it happened."

"Yes, but.."

"Good that should be enough proof. Get ready for the photo shoot."

"I... I haven't made up my mind about what to wear for the wedding yet." Hilda lied she liked the gown she had put on and the one picked by her mom earlier wasn't so bad.

"I like this one." Alexander said casually.

"Where's my mom and the store owner?"

"They're looking for something more suitably for you," Alexander said.

"I can't make it to the photo shoot, sorry."

"Miss Thompson, I'm sure you know we are getting married and you know my background as much as I want this marriage to be kept quiet. My grandmother thinks differently. I'll meet you downstairs and pick a dress within the hour." Alexander said, and left Hilda.

Hilda stood there unsure of what to do.

"Wow this looks pretty on you, it's almost better than the first."

"I don't like it." Hilda said sternly. Lily and Elenore were stunned but they decided she should try the dress they had both picked out.

Hilda agreed to wear the last dress that was picked. She explained to her mother that she was going for a photo shoot and she wouldn't be back anytime soon.

Elenore picked matching shoes for her. Since she was leaving early.

Hilda changed back to her normal clothes and left the shop.

She was greeted by Alexander's bodyguards and one of them opened the door for her and she could tell Alexander was in the car.

She felt slightly scared riding in the same car with him.
