C9 Chapter 9

RESOUNDING SLAP.

Luna,Lila, lilac and Mr Radriel where busy enjoying the party thrown by Mr Radriel in one of his hotels.

Maureen has been around so many people and her body aches from it ,she needed to be in the company of herself .

She looked at everybody present in the VIP hall they were all laughing and having fun ,she pulled her chair backwards slowly and quietly ,stood up and walked elegantly out of the hall.

Leo noticed her movement and decided ,it would be a good time to talk to her about them leaving New York by the next morning.

Immediately Maureen got to the balcony her body stiffened by the sight in front of her.

She was supposed to be left in the company of herself but unfortunately the devil himself was there.

Mr Daniels was busy on the phone when he noticed her presences in the balcony.

Its been so long he laid a hand on her and his entire body system was aching to hit her badly.

He put the phone in his pocket and walked to where she was .

"How dare you come late" he growled giving her a resounding slap"

Maureen stood with her eyes pinned to the ground she didn't try to wipe any tears because that one slap was not able to drop a tear from her eyes ,she has faced more than that ,so a mear slap can't pull tears down from her eyes.

"Look here you little witch if you make this deal unsuccessful I'll make sure your life ends like your mother's life" he yelled shaking her already trembling body.

His touch, his touch made her skin irritate her, she hates it when she's been touched it irritates her so badly.

Not only that ,Mr Daniels dose know how to hit her hard he mentioned her mothers name,old memories kept flashing back.

Finally he shakes her and throws her to the ground,then walks out with a smirk on his face and his right hand in his pocket

Maureen stood from the ground and walked to rail of the balcony.

'What a wedding' she though.

Mr Daniels hit her really hard, today is supposed to be a day that she would be happy.

today is supposed to be a day that her mom will be by her side and tell her all the things a lady needs, to have a happy marriage but unfortunately her fate is so unfortunate.

Right now what she needs is to be happy but its not easy.

She sniffed in and cleaned her wet eyes on hearing the sound of someone's foot step.

"Hey" Leo coed.

"What are you doing up here and alone too?" He asked.

Maureen didn't see a need to answer him so she kept quiet .

"Hey, look I know your upset about this marriage and so am I and I cannot do anything to make you happy instead I'm adding more problems" he said starring at maureen.

'Adding more problems' a she quoted inwardly.

"what...do....you... mean" she asked slowly, she's not a fast talker so she counts her words.

"I didn't mean for this to happen but it happened anyway"he paused and took a deep breath.

"Right know my business needs me ,I need to be in San Francisco by tomorrow and I can't leave you here because ,my conscious wont let me and my father wont let me either, we are now married meaning we have to live together as one"he said trying his possible best to convince her

He knows very well that if he dose not leave with her his father wont let him go anywhere.

"So please would you come with me to San Francisco, I promise to take good care of you, I wont give you a reason to complain, I know this is your home but p....."he was cut short by maureen.

"I...do...not see any harm in coming with you"she said slowly and gently,

"Oh thank you so much. For this you can stay in your place tonight to say good bye to your house hold".

"Thank you so much"he said once again before leaving.

"You let her stay at her place Leo" Mr Radriel growled.

"Father its not what you think, the truth of it, is that we would be leaving for San Francisco by tomorrow and I want her to say good bye to her folks" Leo said to an angry Mr Radriel .

The Radriel's are back in the mansion and Mr Radriel spoke really angry to Leo about letting his new bride sleep in her house on the first night of their marriage.

"There is nothing on this earth you can say to justify your action dummy"Mr Radriel cursed.

"Dad you just called me dummy" Leo gasped playfully.

"Yes I did and I will do it again DUMMY"

"Dad your calling your only son a dummy"

"Get the hell out of my living room Leo"Mr Radriel yelled climbing the stairs to his room.

"And what are you two still doing here"he asked his sisters.

"Now go up to your room"he stated feinging a grumpy mode.

"Night night Mr grumpy"Lila teased climbing the stairs.

"Have a good night rest lover boy think of her okay"Lilac teased following Lila behind.

Leo took the stairs to his room, its really been a long day for him.

From the wedding to the party and every other thing plus the calls he ha been receiving all day.

He got into his room and straight to his shower

On the other hand the twin where busy starring at the pictures they took at the wedding.

"It was really marvellous Lila" Lilac beamed with smiles .

"Yeah it really was and they both look good together too bad they would be leaving tomorrow"

"Yeah too bad"

"He let you stay that's so nice of him"Luna said.

"Although I'm going to miss you real bad"

"Still don't see the need"Maureen stated blantly.

"What! so what you trying to say is....."Maureen cut her of shortly

"Don't... even.. go there... Luna don't ....think about it, just go to bed"Maureen said.

Leo laid on his bed after having a cool shower, now is the time to sleep but he can't ,he doesn't know why but something or someone is on his mind ,he closed his eyes to sleep but he couldn't it was still there, finally he let his heart to rest.

She's the one he keeps thinking of, his wife,Maureen, he's thinking of her, her grey eyes that always captivates him, he doesn't know yet if he is lucky to have her as a wife or he is unfortunate.

Slowly and steadily he was brushed into dreamland with the thought of his wife and his work.

The next morning.......

"I'll be going father" Leo said to his father.

The Radriel's where at the drive way bidding Leo, its going to be long before he sees his sisters and his father again, he knows that for sure he's going to miss them.

"Leo do you really have to go"Lila asked.

"Yes i have to go my company needs me but I promise I will always call you guys okay"he said hugging his little sister.

The twins where still in there PJ, they are not really happy about the fact that Leo's leaving although Lilac is trying to act strong but she can't.

"Come here baby girl I'll miss you too" he said hugging Lilac tightly.

"I'll miss you Leo,please don't forget to call and yes give us a niece or nephew soon"lilac said .
