C15 Chapter 14

"What's going on?" I asked confused.

"Just take a moment, Lena." Richard told me so I also stopped walking but I was really embarrassed because people were already cheering inside and outside the gym. I hear them teasing me, repeatedly calling my name as well as Larry's name.

"What's wrong? Why is Larry here?" I asked myself, which was answered immediately because he suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Lena." He called me.

"Larry." I also noticed that Richard had returned to his companions in the back.

"What's up?" I asked him wondering.

"Lena, I want to ask you a question." He answered me seriously. I'm really surprised because I know Larry who is friendly and joking, I wouldn't have thought of the serious tone of his voice.

"Uhm, okay. What's that? But I just don't understand why it's still here... because I'm embarrassed."

"I just wanted to ask if..." He answered me and then he looked at his companions behind him, I just noticed that it looked like they were holding cardboard behind them, was that cardboard?

"If?" I also looked behind us as they slowly raised the cardboard they were holding with my writing on it –

Just in case, before I could read, I suddenly covered my eyes, I moved to remove the hand that was covering my eyes, just in case, I heard Marco's voice behind me.

"Can you just close your eyes even if I remove my hands from your eyes?" He asked me in a whisper.

"Huh? What's the matter?"

"Nothing. It's not very important." He answered me coldly.

"But I'm going to ask Larry –" I couldn't finish what I was going to say when he answered immediately.

"From what I see now, it looks like he's just doing a prank."

"Huh?" But that's not how I know Larry. I would like to add more but my what's wrong with Marco's voice now.

"I'll remove my hands when I count to three, as long as you close your eyes. I'll tell you when you can open your eyes." I just held my breath and it looks like I have no choice, eh.

"All right."

"Good." And then he started counting and then I heard the next day that the basketball team vs soccer team had a grudge match. Soccer team is the team where Marco is the captain.

"Are you okay?" I asked Marco worriedly. He couldn't come in today, because of the accident that happened and what's worse is my black eye.

"It's not there." He answered me. I just scratched my forehead because I heard on the news earlier at school that Marco ruined Larry's strategy for me. I just don't know what they mean.

No one wants to talk about what really started the trouble because they might feel sorry for them. The success team still knows where Marco is, who often gets into fights. Sigh.

So in the end, I went back to the gym to hopefully check what was there and my eyes widened just like that when I saw what kind of roses were scattered on the floor.

It's not just because it's spread out, it's shaped like a heart! And I myself was standing inside the heart yesterday!

So that I don't overthink anything anymore, I walked until I reached the varsity locker room inside the gym.

The locker room was open and when I peeked, it was like a mess in the gym, because this is where the rampage happened yesterday afternoon after students and teachers came home.

My few cardboards scattered on the table and floor and I remember where I saw it! That's what Larry's teammates were holding yesterday, they picked it up one by one and I frowned when I realized that there was a message on the cardboard.

That's why when I got them all, I took them outside the gym and then arranged them one by one so that I could form the written words.

"Can I court you, Lena?" My eyes widened and I could hardly believe what Larry said yesterday replayed in my mind.

"I would like to ask you, Lena."

"Eh, how can others flirt if Marco is already fencing. Mashado is just clumsy and he can't go straight to Lena." Clara is now the one who got angry with her and Marco's teasing.

"Stop it, Lena isn't comfortable anymore." Marco is disobedient to the girls. I bit my lower lip.

"It's okay... that's not true, eh." I just answered simply and in my panic I didn't notice that instead of the juice I drank, I drank the shot of lambanog.

"LENA!" Xhea, Clara and Kia said together. While Marco was embarrassed. The problem is that I really don't want to drink.

"It's bitter!" Even the heat in my throat down to my side of my heart!

"Here, drink this." I heard what the Señorito said.

"Here's your drink." Marco also said, but the first thing I saw in front of me was the glass that the Señorito threw. Señorito's juice is sweeter, ah!

"Are you okay?" Xhea asked me.

"Here's my juice here." Kia added after that if I can drink the juice that the Señorito handed me.

"Ugh, Thanks, I'm fine." And then I put down the bowl that Señorito gave me on the table.

"It doesn't matter, you won't get drunk immediately with just one shot." Kyo said laughing.

"It's next." He added and then he took the shot glass in front of Señorito and filled it with a shot.

"You Señorito ." Then he reached out to Señorito.

"Thank you." The Señorito took one drink and then took the glass I put down to put some juice. My mouth felt a little sorry, because that's the same glass I drank from, right?

Señorito only took juice from the same pitcher, so why did the juice in his glass become sweeter? I don't know but I suddenly thought of the reason for my whole face to feel warm.

"Oh, why are you blushing immediately Lena? You got hit? It was just one shot, huh?" Xhea said to me in surprise, I just shook my head but what's even more annoying -

Urgh! I don't even know why I'm upset but it's Señorito.
