SOPHIA CASTILLO

Adrian stretched out his arms before resting his butt on the desk in the room.

Even still he was still taller than me. I have never felt so small in my entire life.

"How old are you Sophia?" Adrian asked taking me by surprise as he has never asked me anything about myself before.

"Twenty," I replied.

"The fuck?" He cursed.

"You are twenty?" He asked as if he didn't believe it.

"Yes, I am," I replied him.

"Are you sure your parents didn't ask you to lie about your age? I mean I will give it to them if you ask me to because they know what you are capable of. I mean those eyes of you..." He muttered something I didn't hear but I knew it was about me.

He has always complained about my eyes and I do not understand how one could hate my eyes so much

"Aren't you like eighteen? You are too small. Did you skip puberty? Look at your chest, you barely grew boobs. How old are you?" He said staring at me and I felt conscious of my own body.

I covered my chest with my hands and laughed at my action.

I have come to realize that Adrian Castillo derived joy from making me sad and angry and he would do anything to keep seeing me in that state.

"What is it to you?" I retorted, not happy that he was making fun of me.

"It is a lot to me. I mean I had to marry a child. One who hasn't even started puberty and worse doesn't have manners and have the ugliest eyes in the world," he scorned, hurting me by his words.

The knots in my stomach tighten and I felt my chest hurt too.

My eyes blurred with tears and I knew any moment from now I would cry.

"What do you know!" I exclaimed.

I saw how taken back he was by my reaction but that didn't make me keep my mouth shut. If I kept quiet, he would insult and mock me and if I didn't, it was the same so I won't be letting him do the talking alone.

"You are so mean! You are very mean!" I cried.

Adrian began to click his tongue as soon as he stood up on his feet, towering over me once again but this time I refused to move back even though I was still a little- or rather very much terrified of him.

"You are such an actress. You deserve an Oscar award so much should in case you do not know that," he growled.

I refused to move from where I stood but as he towered over me, it was only my nervousness.

"You sure do know how to cry a lot, don't you? Tell me, how many people have you tricked into falling for these tears of yours? This is why your eyes are the ugliest. Do you think it's charming or beautiful? If you think it is and that is why you think anyone would fall for them then you have gotten to wake up because I, Adrian Castillo, would never fall for these eyes of yours. You can cry from today to next year and I won't give a fuck at all," he said through his teeth while making emphasis on his every word.

I shuddered when he placed his both hands on my shoulder.

"In no time Sophia. I will find out about your father's plans and expose him and when that happens, I will divorce you. I know of your father's dirty games. All he wants is to acquire my empire but I won't let him and if he thinks sending you for this mission would make him win then I must tell you that you won't be winning because I know all of this," he expatiates.

I do not know why Adrian felt we were planning something against him. I do not know why he felt there was something we had against him. Maybe someone could have told him something about my father and the only way to prove him wrong was to find evidence but how do I get evidence of something I do not understand? I thought to myself.

"You know nothing at all. You know nothing and, sadly, you do not want to know anything," I shook my head while staring into his eyes.

"Who told you that my father was planning to take over your company? Why would he do that when he has his own company?" He spat out in anger, pushing his hands off me.

"You know nothing Adrian and if you think all I want to do is seduce you then you must be fucking wrong!" I spat out, surprised at myself for cursing for I have never done that in my life before but thanks to Adrian, I cursed.

He was clearly surprised by my actions but he said nothing and so I kept talking.

"If you are the only man on earth that remains for me then I would rather die single," I said through my teeth, saying one word after the other slowly so he knows I wasn't kidding.

Adrian clicked his tongue. "Are you sure?" He leaned forward to me and I kept my stern expression on as I refused to be the one to break all the time.

"Guess what Sophia, we are already married and I am your husband so you won't be dying single and in fact..." He placed his hands on my shoulder and whispered into my ears.

"I won't be divorcing you. I will never divorce you even if I get the evidence I want to throw your father behind bars. I won't ever divorce you. I will be your worse nightmare and daydream and make sure you regret ever agreeing to marry me."

He said word for word in my ears and I knew he meant every word that came out of his mouth because he has been making me feel pain since I married him.
