C4 Sadness Of Two Girls Who Lost Their Father

The sound of birds chirping perched on electric cables creates a beautiful and melodious strains to welcome the morning. The sun shone brightly against the blue sky.

Aaron stepped up to stare at himself in the mirror. A black shirt and jeans with matching colors wrapped his proportional body. He grabbed a bottle of perfumed oil then squirted into several points of the body. A long sigh escaped his mouth. This morning, he was going to attend Shena's father's funeral procession at the public cemetery.

He stepped out of the room, then approached his family who were having breakfast together. His arrival distracted the four people there.

"Aren't you going to the office?" Zoya asked looking at Aaron.

"No. I have important business today," replied Aaron.

Zoya nodded several times. "All right, now you sit down and we have breakfast together."

"Sorry, Mom. I have to go now, maybe i have breakfast outside."

Derry thought that Aaron was going to Shena's father's funeral.

"Wait a minute, I want to talk to you for a moment." Thony said, before Aaron took a step to leave.

Thony sighed heavily. “I ask you to have a nice conversation with Angela about your relationship. Apologize to him sincerely and give an explanation to Angela so that she can accept your decision," he said firmly.

Hearing Angela's name made a painful image of yesterday cross Aaron's mind. He closed his eyes for a moment, then smiled and nodded his head.

"Yes, Dad." That was all Aaron could answer. What else can we do? If he's telling the truth, what about Derry's fate? Moreover, Angela's name will definitely be dirty in the eyes of her family. Aaron is old enough to think clearly without harming others, even though he has to endure the pain.

"I'm going with you. Take me to school first," said Moza, Aaron's younger sister.

Aaron thought it was okay to take Moza to school first. "Okay, come on. I'll take you to school."

He immediately said goodbye to his parents and also Derry. Then followed Aaron's steps out of the house. After the two of them were already in the car, he immediately drove the four-wheeled vehicle across the road. Moza, who at first seemed to be enjoying the view outside the glass, suddenly asked Aaron a question.

"Oh yes, what affairs do you have that kept you from going to the office today?" She asked.

Aaron looked back at Moza. "You don't need to know," he replied with a chuckle.

Moza sighed heavily. Then she saw Aaron's appearance from head to toe. "If I pay attention, you are like a person going to a funeral. Isn't that so?"

Before Aaron answered Moza's question, the sound of the cell phone rang. Then he took out a sophisticated flat object from his trouser pocket. Saw Angela's name on it, made him grunt softly and prefer to ignore the call from the woman. Aaron is still very hurt because of yesterday's incident.

"Call from whom? Why not pick up?"

"Not important," Aaron replied.

Moza snorted softly. Communicating with Aaron was not as comfortable and fun as it was with Derry. But she can understand, indeed Aaron has the same nature as Thony. Cold, indifferent, and dislikes small talk. Especially when the mood is not good, it can only be responded with a sharp gaze by the man.

Ten minutes had passed, Aaron's car stopped in front of the gates of the school where Moza was studying. She immediately took off her seat belt and said goodbye to Aaron.

"Learn right," ordered Aaron.

Moza nodded. "Ready! Bye!"

"Bye."

Next, Aaron drove back to the public cemetery. Yesterday he overheard Shena's conversation on the phone at that time they were talking about Shena's father's funeral.

One by one the mourners began to leave the burial place. Leaving Shena and Amanda who are still reluctant to leave their father's final resting place. Shena's hand shook when she was about to touch the gravestone which was written the name Yudha Atmaja. While Amanda stood holding her black stick.

"Why are you leaving so fast? I still need you, Dad, I don't know what to do after this," she said quietly in the middle of sobbing.

Mommy Shena and Amanda have died while struggling to bring Amanda into the world. After that, the three of them lived through joy and sorrow together. Yudha who works as a paid farmer, can only send Shena through high school graduates and she has been working as a waitress in a cafe. However, their simplicity always feels warm and happiness. Asincere and patient heart accepts life, making them always feel grateful for the blessings God has given.

Shena hugged the gravestone, and the tears did not stop rolling down her cheeks. Even her eyes were swollen from crying all night. And to let go of someone so loved, is not an easy thing.

"I know this is not easy for us. But with the way we continue to cry for Daddy's departure, it's not a good solution. Our job now is to pray for him, so that Daddy will be calm there."

Shena is still crying. Although Amanda looks tough, but who knows that the girl also harbored painful wounds in her heart. Especially her now having no eyesight, making Amanda want to see her father's face one last time.

From ten kilometers away, Aaron also felt the pain over Yudha's departure. What's more, he was the one who made Shena and Amanda lose their father. He wiped the tears that were about to drop. Taking a deep breath before finally step up to them.

Seeing a pair of legs that stopped beside the grave, Shena looked up to see who had come. Then she stood staring intently at Aaron.

"What are you doing here? A murderer like you, doesn't deserve to be here."

Amanda is shocked to hear Shena's words. She has heard the chronology of yesterday's accident.

"I am sorry about the passing of Uncle Yudha. I really apologize for ---,"

"Are you sorry you can bring my Daddy back to life?!" Shena said, making her cry even louder.

Amanda tries to grab Shena's hand and she grasps it tightly. "Realize, don't be like this. You can't keep blaming other people for Daddy's leaving."

Shena turned to Amanda. "But this man who made us lose Daddy! He who killed Daddy! He is a murderer!" Shena screamed out of control. Amanda dropped her staff and then immediately grabbed Shena's body into a tight hug.

Enough! Aaron could no longer hold back his tears. Doesn't care about his image as a boy. His heart ached, had made two girls lose the person they loved so much. He really understands how Shena and Amanda feel right now. Then he stepped closer, but quickly Shena forbade him.

"Stop! Don't come near!"

Aaron sighed heavily. Wiping the face several times. "I'm really sorry. Incidents like this, absolutely not my wish. Maybe I was wrong for not being careful while driving and I really regret it. Please forgive me," he said sadly at Shena.

Amanda rubbed Shena's hand. "It's all a destiny from God. You can't keep blaming this man," she said trying to give understanding to Shena. Because from what Aaron said, she could feel his genuine sincerity and regret from the man.
