"Am I going to leave?" I asked him, despite the fact that he didn't say it was against his will that he couldn't don his cat any longer.

"What are you saying?" he asked, shrugging.

When he looked at me seriously, I couldn't help but feel embarrassed and jittery.

"Because your cat is unable to return home."
