C1 Was It Green?
"Hey, aren't you worried she'll find out?"
"Worried? She's on a business trip, and it's not the first time. Why are you pretending to be all innocent?"
"You're so bad!"
"And isn't that why you like me? Don't worry, in about a month, I'll have everything sorted. I just dropped a few hints, and that fool has already secured the deal for me on her trip. Once it's finalized, my position will be solid, and you'll be the lady of the house!"
"I've been waiting for this day for so long! You're so good to me... I need to find a way to thank you..."
The room filled with the sound of their escalating intimacy, echoing clearly into the ears of the woman next door.
In the adjacent room, she clenched the sheets tightly, her heart aching as if it were being squeezed.
She had pushed herself to the brink, even drinking to the point of stomach bleeding, just to secure that agreement for him.
But to him, she was nothing more than a complete fool!
All her suffering and hard work were just paving the way for this pair's future...
Suddenly, the door, which had been slightly ajar, was pushed open with a stumble, startling her.
A tall figure burst in before she could react, and the strong scent of blood filled the air as a cold hand clamped over her mouth!
Desperate to resist, she heard a man's deep, magnetic voice whisper in her ear, "Don't move... someone's outside trying to kill me..."
Sure enough, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from outside the door. She realized the man wasn't lying.
Before she could react, he pressed closer. In the dim moonlight, she saw his strikingly handsome face, his eyes sharp as stars, his demeanor icy.
"Forgive me."
Before she could comprehend, he pinned her hands and kissed her, his large hands roaming freely over her body. Soft moans escaped her lips involuntarily, and she flushed with a mix of shame and anger.
Voices drifted in from outside—
"Where is he?"
"Damn, he definitely ran this way!"
"Could he be hiding in a room?"
"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what's going on inside? That guy's injured and still has the energy for this?"
"Let's check over there!"
The footsteps gradually faded away. The man finally released her. Summoning strength from somewhere, she shoved him away forcefully. "Are you crazy?"
She looked up and met his cold eyes, dark and unfathomable like a bottomless icy pool, sparking an inexplicable fear within her.
In their struggle, her clothes had become disheveled, revealing a lifelike butterfly tattoo on her side. His gaze fell on it, and he froze momentarily.
"Is it you?"
"What do you mean, is it me?" Ruanruan asked, puzzled.
"That night four years ago, you really don't remember?" The man's breathing was a bit rushed.
"Come on, are you seriously playing the amnesia card with me? I didn't even hold you accountable for kissing me without permission, so there's no need to dodge responsibility like this," Ruanruan said, her lips twitching slightly.
The man didn't respond. Instead, he handed her a card. "Today isn't the right time to talk in detail. There's three hundred thousand dollars on this card, the password is eight zeros. If it's not enough, don't worry, we'll meet again."
With that, he got up to leave, clutching his left side as if he was seriously injured.
Holding the card, Ruanruan finally let go of the emotions she had been holding back for so long.
