C14 Intentionally Making Things Difficult!

Unexpectedly, Liting, whom she had only met a few times, left a deep impression on her.

Choo’s mother, her chest heaving with anger, directed all her frustration at Ruanruan: “Get out of here right now! The only daughter-in-law of the Choo family can be Xirou! If you don’t leave, don’t blame me for being harsh!”

With Choo’s mother backing her, Xirou regained her earlier arrogance, looking at Ruanruan with smug disdain: “You’re just an uncultured girl, a social climber with no mother to raise you. I know your dirty intentions better than anyone! Get out already!”

Ruanruan clenched her fists, trying her best to control her anger. But Xirou’s words were unbearable, as her family was her untouchable boundary!

The next second, a man’s voice, tinged with cold anger, echoed: “Haven’t you had enough?”

Liting, usually so aloof and distant, now seemed like a force of nature, exuding a terrifying intensity that left everyone stunned, even Choo’s mother couldn’t help but be taken aback.

Choo’s mother knew well her son’s uncompromising nature and decisive methods, which had built his legendary business reputation. She gritted her teeth, her gaze shifting, a new determination in her eyes.

"Well, I'm not entirely against accepting her."

Hearing this shift in tone from Mrs. Choo, Xirou's expression changed, and she quickly looked at her. Mrs. Choo patted Xirou's hand reassuringly and continued, "Didn't you say this girl has exceptional painting skills? Alright, I'll call the instructor from the Met International Painting Program right now. If her work passes their evaluation, I'll acknowledge her as my daughter-in-law. Our family is reputable, and not just anyone can join us!"

Ruanruan knew Mrs. Choo was making things difficult on purpose. No matter how good her paintings were, a single look from Mrs. Choo could sway the instructor's decision.

She narrowed her eyes slightly, realizing this future mother-in-law was indeed a tough character to deal with.

Liting remained silent, not speaking up for her, as Mrs. Choo had already made a concession.

Xirou breathed a sigh of relief and regained her smugness. "Fine, if you can really pass the evaluation, I'll willingly admit defeat. But if you can't, you have to admit you're a nobody and crawl out of the Choo family gate, never to return! So, do you dare to take the bet?"

Ruanruan's eyes sparkled with calm confidence as she nodded. "No problem."

Soon, Mrs. Choo contacted the instructor, Du Yuchun, from the Met Program, and they all gathered in the villa's garden.

"Let's get started, Miss Wen," Du Yuchun said politely.

But Wen Ruanruan interrupted, "Hold on, I have one more request."

"Why do you have so many demands?" Zhou Xirou frowned impatiently.

Wen Ruanruan calmly replied, "From what I understand, the most outstanding course at the Met Training Program is portrait painting. So today, I want to paint a portrait. But how can an ordinary model do justice to your esteemed program? After much thought, I've decided to ask Miss Zhou Xirou to be my model."

"Don't push your luck! Who do you think I am? How could I possibly pose as a model for you?"

However, Choo Liting frowned in displeasure. "You insisted on this assessment, yet now you refuse to provide a model. Are you deliberately making things difficult?"

With Choo Liting speaking up, Zhou Xirou, despite her grievances, had no choice but to reluctantly stand in front of Wen Ruanruan.
