C5 A Match Made in Heaven!
"Excuse me?"
"Director Choo would like you to accompany him to a family dinner tonight," the assistant explained.
"No problem," Wen Ruanruan nodded. After all, he had been so considerate earlier, it was only right to return the favor.
"Director Choo has a meeting now, but he'll meet you in the café downstairs in half an hour."
"Alright."
---
Half an hour later, Wen Ruanruan sat by the window in the café, savoring a slice of strawberry cake. The rich cream and sweet-tart fruit danced on her tongue, making her smile with satisfaction, oblivious to the cream on her lips.
Lost in thought, she was startled by a cool finger brushing against her lips, the rough texture sending a shiver through her.
"Is it good?" The man's voice was as smooth and enticing as a fine wine.
Before she could respond, Choo Liting licked the cream from his finger, his Adam's apple moving as he swallowed, a pleased smile playing on his lips.
In an instant, Wen Ruanruan's face turned crimson!
Choo Liting chuckled softly, his dark eyes fixed on her lips. "Don't be nervous, it's not the first time, right?"
His words carried a double meaning, making Wen Ruanruan feel even more flustered.
"Mind if I have a taste?"
Choo Liting sat directly across from Wen Ruanruan and picked up a knife and fork.
Even though it was a simple action, he exuded such elegance and grace.
If only the cake Choo Liting was eating wasn't one Wen Ruanruan had bought herself, the scene might have been even more delightful!
The assistant, who had hurried over, was moved to tears upon seeing their boss take a small bite of the strawberry cake—Choo was actually eating voluntarily!
Choo Liting suffered from a severe eating disorder, and at its worst, he needed IV drips to maintain proper nutrition. In all the years the assistant had worked with him, they'd never seen Choo eat on his own; nothing seemed to spark his appetite.
Today, a miracle finally happened!
After a few bites, even Choo was surprised. He had felt a sudden, inexplicable hunger! Perhaps it was the way the woman in front of him ate that stirred his desire to taste.
It seemed this woman indeed brought him quite a few surprises.
Wen Ruanruan, who had been stunned for a while, finally snapped back to reality and chuckled awkwardly, "Should I... order you another one?"
"No need. Special Assistant Lin, let's go. You come along too," Choo Liting said calmly, putting down the knife and fork.
Wen Ruanruan, still bewildered, stood up and followed them.
As night fell and the city lights began to twinkle, the most luxurious estate in City A was ablaze with light. The Choo family dinner was more like a small business gathering, attracting industry leaders from all sectors.
With the sound of brakes, a Maybach smoothly pulled up at the estate's entrance. Special Assistant Lin respectfully got out and opened the rear door, revealing two striking figures who immediately captured everyone's attention.
Choo Liting, in a beige suit, had shed his usual stern demeanor, appearing more approachable. His chiseled face remained calm and composed, exuding the aura of a king surveying his domain. Beside him, Wen Ruanruan wore a silver gown that shimmered under the moonlight, like scattered stars in the sky. Her softly curled brown hair highlighted her fair complexion, and her delicate face was radiant with charm and grace.
They were the perfect match, a couple seemingly made for each other.
