I couldn’t help myself anymore and I thought I’d better check on Megan. I grabbed my cell phone from the nightstand and dialed Megan’s number. It rang a few times.

“Come on, pick up the phone,” I muttered.

How annoying! She wasn’t picking up. I’d better try again. It rang a few times like before. And finally, she picked up my incoming call
