C10 The Woman That Third Master Fancied!

"You're out of your depth!"

Chu Yichen's lips parted slightly, his icy gaze unsettling those around him.

Su Ningning's pupils contracted.

She thought to herself, This is bad!

"Stop!" She shoved the man's grip away before Chu Yichen could make a move, quickly seizing Chen Zhou's wrist with a look of fierce determination in her eyes. "Have you lost your mind?"

Her voice was hushed, trembling slightly.

Su Ningning had always been reserved.

Yet, she could sense Chen Zhou's genuine concern and felt compelled to pay heed. "Chen Zhou, get out of here now."

"Miss Ning," Chen Zhou's brow furrowed, acutely aware of the danger posed by the man before them.

But in this moment, he saw himself as a man of valor, unwilling to stand by as Miss Ning faced peril. Clenching his jaw, he insisted, "Miss Ning, he's too dangerous."

Chen Zhou's gaze shifted from Chu Yichen to Su Ningning.

Upon hearing this.

Su Ningning's expression darkened, her displeasure evident. "Chen Zhou, I don't need your assistance!"

Her tone was firm, and Chen Zhou detected the irritation in her voice. He looked up at Su Ningning, taken aback, and stammered, "Alright... Alright." His spirit deflated, he retreated a couple of steps.

Chen Zhou's hands were in his pockets, a lock of hair obscuring the disappointment in his eyes.

"Let's go!" He cast a brooding glance at Chu Yichen before reluctantly leading his group away.

"Mr. Zhou..."

"Mr. Zhou, are you really going to ignore Miss Ning?"

"Scram!" Anger flashed in Chen Zhou's eyes as he menacingly swept his gaze over an unspeakable area of the youth. "Keep it up, and you'll be too busy looking after yourself!"

The youth's legs clenched together.

Sweat dotted his forehead as he clutched himself, hastily saying, "Let's go, Mr. Zhou calls the shots!"

"Let's go!" Su Ningning watched Chen Zhou and his entourage depart, quietly breathing a sigh of relief.

She wasn't accustomed to close relationships with others, yet since descending the mountain, she had repeatedly encountered others' concern. This feeling left her feeling uneasy and bewildered.

She looked at the distinguished and elegant man before her and couldn't help but smile to herself.

If she couldn't beat him, she might as well face him with composure.

Turning around, she addressed Chu Yichen first.

Her clear eyes locked onto Chu Yichen's deep ones, stirring a flicker of confusion within her. She murmured, "Hmm? What an odd sensation."

"Hmm?"

Even though she spoke in a whisper, Chu Yichen keenly caught her puzzled look.

"Nothing," Su Ningning shook her head, "Let's go." She was not interested in wasting any more time.

Watching her take charge, Chu Yichen couldn't help but smile, a gesture that softened his usually aloof expression and momentarily dazzled Su Ningning.

She had encountered her fair share of attractive men.

Take her senior brothers, for instance, each more handsome than the last, or her middle-aged master, who could still pass for a strikingly handsome man.

But the man before her was exceptional. The commanding presence he radiated was utterly compelling, and most crucially, she sensed a familiar essence about him that piqued her curiosity.

That was the source of her bewilderment.

Unbeknownst to her, the dazed expression she wore was casting an irresistible allure in the man's eyes, like a stream of crystal-clear water gently seeping into his soul.

It made him shudder.

Chu Yichen half-closed his eyes, a dangerous glint flickering as he gazed at the oblivious young woman before him.

He was not one to shy away from his desires. Having discovered what he yearned for deep within, he was ready to pay any price to chase after the longing in his heart.
