C13 No No!

"What's not possible?" Su Ningning looked up at Ji Ye with a puzzled expression.

Had she inadvertently crossed a line?

Ji Ye wiped the sweat from his brow, his palms icy.

He caught the amused look on Old Master Chu's face and, with a sense of bewilderment, shook his head. "Nothing, it's nothing," he said, his gaze fixed on Old Master Chu.

The Third Master was acting out of character today. What was going on with the old master...

He found himself stealing glances at Su Ningning.

Su Ningning looked up at Old Master Chu. "Mr. Chu, may I examine your legs?"

Old Master Chu beamed at the young woman kneeling beside him, growing more pleased by the moment.

Not only was she beautiful, but she was also courteous and thoughtful—exactly his ideal of a granddaughter-in-law.

"Of course, you may," he replied, lifting his pant leg to facilitate her examination.

Su Ningning bent down, her attention focused on Old Master Chu's legs.

She had a passion for medicine, particularly for tackling challenging cases.

Though the old man's leg had been injured for a long time and was difficult to treat, she believed it wasn't beyond hope for recovery.

Her touch was gentle, her movements meticulous, and her questions showed a high level of expertise, drawing Ji Ye's attention.

"Miss Su, are you skilled in medicine?" the butler asked, his eyes softening with a hint of hope.

But after posing the question, his eyes lost their luster as he let out a silent sigh.

So many renowned doctors had failed to heal the old man's leg, declaring it beyond repair. How could a girl in her teens possibly succeed?

"Yes, a little," replied Su Ningning, unaware of the butler's reservations as she continued her examination.

The butler's spirits fell further.

She was just as he feared, only knowing a little.

Chu Yichen stood to the side, his piercing gaze resting on Su Ningning.

The girl was crouched in front of the wheelchair, her expression one of intense concentration.

Her porcelain skin glowed under the light, and her delicate, fair hands tapped on Old Master Chu's leg occasionally, drawing the eyes of everyone present.

The words seemed to slip out unintentionally, "Grandfather's legs?"

"There's hope."

Having said that, Su Ningning stood up immediately. She casually slipped off her backpack, unzipped it, and dumped its contents onto the sofa.

Amidst the sparse items, she swiftly located the object wrapped in black cloth and promptly repacked the rest.

"There's hope?" Chu Yichen's gaze narrowed as he observed her belongings.

"Yes, could you please assist Old Master Chu onto the bed?" She methodically unwrapped the black cloth, revealing an array of silver needles of various sizes.

The butler, filled with concern, stepped forward to protect Old Master Chu.

Ji Ye had been a constant presence by Old Master Chu's side since his youth, a loyalty that spanned many years.

He cared deeply for Old Master Chu and wouldn't allow a young woman with limited medical knowledge to risk harming his master.

Chu Yichen hesitated briefly before walking over to Old Master Chu.

The butler's brow furrowed. "Third Master!" His voice shook with a hint of helplessness. He stepped toward the door yet didn't shift from his position.

Chu Yichen remained stationary, torn with indecision.

His grandfather couldn't afford any complications; too many important matters hinged on him. Every eye seemed to be watching.

Su Ningning had finished sterilizing the silver needles and now held one in her hand, approaching the two men.

She understood the concerns of both Chu Yichen and the butler, but she was determined not to let this opportunity pass. "I can heal him," she stated confidently.

Chu Yichen took a moment, his penetrating gaze meeting the butler's. The butler stepped aside.

He then proceeded to gently lift Old Master Chu onto the bed.

Su Ningning, with her pale fingers delicately holding a silver needle, approached the bedside.

"Stop," a cool voice commanded from behind.
