C10 Too Demonic!
In a flash, Shi Qian recalled her own words from before, where she had insisted that Shaang Sizhan take responsibility.
She chuckled awkwardly.
Taking a moment, she looked at him earnestly and spoke softly, "Master Zhan, thank you."
"For what?" he inquired.
"Thank you for not having thrown me out back then," she replied.
And for giving her several years of happiness.
In hindsight, she realized she had been somewhat of a scammer, making him take responsibility for nothing at all.
Shaang Sizhan's lips formed a slight smile. "Rest assured, I'll take responsibility for you until the very end."
Responsibility until the end?
Shi Qian blinked her beautiful eyes, puzzled.
She found it hard to grasp the enigmatic big boss's words.
"Master Zhan?" Shi Qian suddenly asked, "Did you really never suspect me of having ulterior motives?"
"Not at all," Shaang Sizhan replied promptly, then added with a half-smile, "At most... you were swayed by appearances."
Shi Qian was speechless.
She gazed at his alluring face...
This man was truly bewitching!
Seeing the girl's slightly flustered expression, Shaang Sizhan spoke again, "Would you like to go eat, or do you prefer to keep watching me?"
Shi Qian was at a loss for words.
It wasn't her intention to catch him in the hot spring.
She covered her mouth, coughed lightly, and then suggested, "Let's have dinner."
Together, they headed back to the villa.
In the living room, Shaang Sizhan directed, "You go ahead to the dining room. I'll change my clothes upstairs and join you shortly."
"Alright," Shi Qian nodded.
Shaang Sizhan made his way to the elevator.
As Shi Qian was about to head to the dining room, she noticed Yan Yi entering from outside. Her obsidian-like eyes followed him, and she halted. "Yan Yi."
Hearing her, Yan Yi turned to Shi Qian, offering a slight nod and a warm smile. "Miss Shi."
Shi Qian approached him. "Yan Yi, about that mysterious hacker A you mentioned before, has Zhuiying really located her in the capital?"
Zhuiying is one of Shaang Sizhan's subordinates, a legendary figure in the hacking world, and the head of Monarch Garden's intelligence department.
Yan Yi nodded. "Yes, Zhuiying did discover that she was in the capital, but..."
"But what?" Shi Qian inquired.
"Well, we've recently lost track of her. It seems she's noticed Zhuiying and has gone into hiding once again," Yan Yi explained.
"Oh, I see," Shi Qian responded, a mischievous glint briefly appearing in her beautiful eyes.
Yan Yi looked at her, puzzled. "Miss Shi, what brings Hacker A to your mind all of a sudden?"
"Just curious," Shi Qian said with a smile. "The idea of a hacker seems quite impressive."
"Indeed, Hacker A is extremely skilled. Seven years ago, she hacked into the U.S. Department of National Security and made a name for herself overnight. International agents and Interpol have been on her trail for seven years, yet they haven't found a single clue," Yan Yi said, his voice laced with admiration and a slight smile on his lips.
Shaang Sizhan, now dressed in light, casual home attire, stepped out of the elevator.
Shi Qian offered a serene smile, choosing not to continue the conversation.
Turning to Shaang Sizhan, she greeted, "Master Zhan, you're ready."
"Mhm," Shaang Sizhan replied, approaching them.
Yan Yi gave a respectful nod. "Master Zhan."
Shaang Sizhan's gaze fell on Shi Qian as he asked, "What were you discussing?"
"Nothing much, just inquiring with Butler Yan about Hacker A. Just a bit of curiosity," she explained.
Shaang Sizhan's deep and inscrutable eyes met hers, and he spoke softly, "If you're curious, you could ask Zhuiying. He's likely to have more information."
Shi Qian chuckled, "No need, I'm not that curious after all."
Subsequently, they both made their way to the dining room.
