C15 You Are Mine!

Shi Qian looked at Shaang Sizhan with a hint of nervousness and swallowed hard before walking over to him.

A year ago, she had been injured in a car accident, which had made Shaang Sizhan incredibly angry, and he had forbidden her from racing ever again.

Truth be told, she had been less than honest. The accident hadn't been due to racing; it was because of him.

"Master Zhan," Shi Qian said with a smile as she took a seat across from Shaang Sizhan. "Did you want to see me about something?"

"Where were you this afternoon?" Shaang Sizhan inquired.

"Um..." Shi Qian placed her hands on the table, steeling herself before replying, "I went to... Nine Revolving Mountain."

Shaang Sizhan's eyes narrowed, "You're taking my words lightly again."

His tone was cool and measured, yet it carried an immense power to intimidate.

Shi Qian adopted a look of innocence and grievance. "No, it's just that... I had no choice. Actually, this whole situation is because of you, Master Zhan."

Shaang Sizhan's lips were a tight line, and he remained silent, waiting for her to go on.

Shi Qian went on to explain, "I had initially agreed to go to C University with Jiang Ci, but at your word, I ended up at D University instead. Jiang Ci was furious, accusing me of being unreliable.

I had no choice but to agree to go racing with him. I've only done it once this past year, truly."

She paused, then tried to shift the conversation. "By the way, Master Zhan, why didn't you want me to attend C University? Why did you insist on D University?"

"Don't try to change the subject!" Shaang Sizhan's eyes were dangerously narrowed, his voice cold and stern. "You go running to that Jiang boy whenever he's upset. What is it? Do you like him?"

Shi Qian was taken aback for a moment, then quickly denied it, "Of course not! We're just good friends. I couldn't possibly have feelings for him!"

Upon hearing this, Shaang Sizhan's expression softened slightly. After a brief pause, he spoke again, "In the future, don't get too close to him, and definitely don't... develop feelings for him!"

"Ah?" Shi Qian was momentarily puzzled by his statement and blurted out, "Why?"

Shaang Sizhan gazed at her delicate, bewildered face with a tone both serious and domineering. "Because... you're mine."

Shi Qian was speechless.

She stood there, stunned, unsure of what to say, and managed only an "Oh."

She hadn't even processed the meaning of his words when her phone chimed with a notification.

It was likely Jiang Ci, checking if she had made it back to Monarch Garden.

Shi Qian reached for her phone, but upon seeing the capricious expression on the face of the formidable boss, she thought better of it and halted.

Trying to alleviate the awkward silence, she offered an embarrassed smile and ventured, "Um... Master Zhan, have you had dinner yet? Maybe I could join you?"

"I'm not hungry. I'm fed up with anger."

Shi Qian fell silent again.

Shaang Sizhan's long fingers suddenly grasped her chin. "Next time, I'll lock you up!"

He didn't sound like he was joking in the slightest.

Shi Qian promptly raised three fingers, swearing earnestly, "I promise, there won't be a next time."

She knew Shaang Sizhan meant well; he had treated her better than anyone else these past years.

He was the light that broke through the gloom of her life, brightening her youth and warming her once cold heart.

The following morning, Shi Qian was jogging in the courtyard.

In the garden, a man with striking looks and a hint of irreverence, dressed in a white coat, stood among the blossoms cradling a sleeping white rabbit.

Shi Qian paused her run and approached him, inquiring, "Baili Yi, what are you up to?"

Baili Yi, Shaang Sizhan's personal physician, was renowned for his exceptional medical expertise and research.

Known as the Ghost Doctor Holy Hand, he had been coveted by the world's wealthiest families but ultimately chose to work for Shaang Sizhan.

He turned to Shi Qian with a smile and said, "Just conducting a little experiment."
