C38 They Were Living Kings
Upon hearing the news, Shi Muxue's eyes widened with disbelief. "How could that be possible?"
"Why not? I saw it with my own eyes and even snapped pictures," Wen Yiran retorted, pulling out her phone to show Shi Muxue the photos she had taken the day before. "Look, it's that country bumpkin, Shi Qian!"
As Shi Muxue scrutinized the photo, her gaze intensified—it was indeed Shi Qian! She spoke up, "That car can't possibly be hers." After a brief pause, she added, "I never expected Shi Qian to stoop to such levels."
"Do you think this tramp is being kept by someone?" Wen Yiran probed.
Shi Muxue remained silent, her silence serving as a form of agreement.
Wen Yiran huffed, "This tramp is definitely being supported by some old man. It's a pity I only captured this photo yesterday and didn't catch her sugar daddy."
She paused before continuing, "But this picture alone is enough to prove that tramp's disgraceful behavior! How could a penniless country bumpkin afford a sports car worth millions?"
A chill crept into Shi Muxue's eyes as she looked at Shi Qian in the photo. After a few seconds of silence, she turned to Wen Yiran, "What's your plan? Do you intend to go public with this?"
The mention of this plan only fueled Wen Yiran's anger. If it weren't for the leverage Shi Qian had over her, she could have easily leaked the photos online and hired trolls to ensure Shi Qian became the target of public scorn. Maybe the resourceful netizens would even uncover her benefactor and start a scandal.
Regrettably, she couldn't take action just yet.
Biting back her frustration, Wen Yiran responded, "I can't expose her right now. That wretch has dirt on me."
"Dirt on you?" Shi Muxue pressed, "What's going on?"
Wen Yiran didn't want to divulge any details and brushed it off, "It's nothing. Don't worry, I, Wen Yiran, refuse to be outdone by a country bumpkin."
Shi Muxue remained silent, her gaze growing more intense.
Wen Yiran, still fuming from the previous night's anger, which had kept her awake for hours, eventually succumbed to sleep, her head resting on the desk.
Seizing the moment while Yiran was distracted, Muxue quietly snatched her phone and sent the photo to her own device.
Shi Qian had assumed that Sheng Xu had given up on her. To her surprise, he showed up again today.
Sheng Xu entered the classroom and took a seat next to Shi Qian, getting straight to the point, "So, how can I add you as a friend?"
Shi Qian gave him a helpless look. "Why are you so insistent on adding me?"
"To pursue you, to game with you, to take you to new heights! Trust me, you won't regret adding me," Sheng Xu declared with a mix of confidence and a touch of arrogance.
He was the first player on the entire server to break into the Level 10 map, known as 'Handsome and Exploding the Universe'. Now, the only two players on that map were him and Muh Yuvming.
Any serious gamer knew of him; his reputation was undeniable. He was convinced that once she discovered his identity, she would be in awe.
Meanwhile, Wen Ke'er couldn't help but giggle to herself.
Sheng Xu was oblivious to the fact that he was offering to elevate the very God of gaming. If he realized that Shi Qian was the legendary Muh Yuvming, he'd be the one in awe.
Noticing Ke'er's suppressed laughter, Sheng Xu's brow furrowed. "What's so funny?"
Startled, Ke'er glanced at him before quickly bowing her head, not daring to utter a word. She knew better than to cross paths with this formidable figure.
Shi Qian didn't appreciate Sheng Xu intimidating Wen Ke'er. "Young Master Sheng, it's not very nice to frighten people."
Unfazed, Sheng Xu turned to Shi Qian. "Who's scaring her? I merely asked what she was laughing at." He paused before pressing on, "So, are you going to add me or not?"
"No," Shi Qian replied with a slight frown, her voice dripping with nonchalance, "I don't play with amateurs."
Sheng Xu: "..."
How dare she call him a noob!
"Shi Qian, you're calling me unskilled? Do you have any idea what level I'm at? If I told you, it would scare you to death!"
