C2 Do Me a Favor
"Of course I love you," Haoyan's voice was hazy.
His voice halted abruptly, accompanied by the woman's soft gasps. A defense in Qiao An's heart crumbled suddenly, and tears began to fall unexpectedly, landing on the man's hand.
A single tear from the woman, along with the explosive content of the voice message, seemed to instantly ignite the man's desire.
He lifted his reddened eyes to look at the woman across from him. Her skin was pale, her neck slender, and her eyes, tearful from anger, along with her enticing red lips...
His Adam's apple bobbed, and desire surged through his body...
He was acutely aware that he had been drugged.
At that moment, Qiao An abruptly looked up and groped for her phone, her tear-filled eyes meeting the man's. "I need you to do me a favor."
"What?" he asked.
Qiao An sniffled, "Reply to a voice message for me."
She tilted her chin up, pushing back the tears in her eyes, and enunciated each word, "Say, 'Please stop sending messages like that to my girlfriend. I'm afraid it will make her sick!'"
The man's bloodshot eyes fixed on her, his voice low and raspy, "Trivial!"
Qiao An, with eyes brimming with tears, challenged, "Will you help or not? If not, I'm calling the police!"
"What's in it for me if I help you?" the man inquired.
"What more do you want?"
He paused, then spoke deliberately, "Cure me of the poison."
Without hesitation, Qiao An consented, "Fine."
He took the phone from her hand and asked, "Your name is...?"
"Qiao An."
Shortly after, his deep, hoarse voice filled the room, "Please refrain from sending messages like that to Qiao An in the future. It might disgust her."
Tears welled up in Qiao An's eyes once more, her heart heavy and uncomfortable, the feeling indescribable.
Without her guide staff, she stumbled toward the bedroom and forcefully slammed the door shut.
The man reclining on the sofa could hear the muffled sobs within the room.
Qiao An had never imagined that she would be cheated on, especially not by Moo Haoyan with Qiao Xue.
Her so-called younger sister, who had always opposed her, emboldened by their parents' favoritism since they were children.
In that moment, Qiao An felt as though her dignity was being ground into the dust, a sensation that made her want to leap in front of them and slap them hard across their faces!
She couldn't tell if it was her emotions at play, but Qiao An suddenly experienced a surge of heat spreading wildly within her, a sensation she had never encountered before.
She was no longer a teenager, and with sharp intuition, Qiao An sensed something was terribly wrong with these bizarre changes.
It was as if she had been drugged with something out of a novel!
A chill ran through her, and she forgot to cry.
The drug acted quickly; within minutes, Qiao An felt an unbearable heat, a feeling that was utterly horrifying.
Then, the bedroom door swung open, and a man's deep voice followed, "You said you would help me detoxify..."
The man could no longer contain the fiery torment within him, and at that moment, his reason was completely overpowered by the drug's effects.
The room was dark, save for a sliver of moonlight that streamed through the window, casting a serene glow over Qiao An.
The man approached the bed and pinned Qiao An down upon it...
Throughout the night, Qiao An drifted in and out of consciousness, her dreams a tumultuous mess, yet Qiao Xue's mocking laughter was disturbingly clear.
"Qiao An, you're fated to be beneath my feet for life! You're only worthy of the leftovers I discard!"
It was the sharp ring of an alarm that finally roused her.
Her head throbbed excruciatingly.
She reached out to silence the alarm clock and lay there, eyes open, disoriented for a moment before the flood of memories abruptly filled her mind.
