C22 Chapter

After school, Angela and Dimitri walks home together, he asks her to follow him to know his house which she does. He invites her into his home.

It was a modern apartment, furnished with a two sitter brown cushion, gracing the living room space and a ceramic table having four short legs sitting in front of the two sitter cushion. There was a white flower vase on top of the ceramic table with rose flowers sitting inside the flower vase, giving the room a nice fragrance. Like as if strawberries were placed on every side of the living room.

Angela ran her eyes round Dmitri’s living room. “ Nice place.” She compliments his home beaming a smile.

“Oh! thanks Angela, it’s not so big but I love it .” Dmitri replied back with a glow on his face. He occasionally steals a gaze at Angela, admiring her looks and beautiful body. Unknowing Angela, was still busy looking round his house and admiring it.“ Do you have strawberries somewhere here?” She asks Dmitri.

“Huh?” He doesn’t understand what she was saying. “ I mean the strawberry fragrance. You must have some berries in your kitchen right? I want some please..see!” Angela spoke almost immediately, trying to beg Dmitri to understand her. ” Oh no!” He burst into laughter, almost getting Angela pissed.

“ What’s funny? Did I say something funny? “ Angela angrily spoke to defend herself. “ Oh not that, I’m so sorry for laughing at you. It’s just that you are not the first person that has asked me for some strawberries.” Dmitri replied to calm Angela. “ Oh really?” Angela replied back to Dmitri in sarcasm, suspecting him to be a playboy that brings in women to visit him on regular basis.

Dmitri moves towards Angela, pulling her close to his warm body and passionately looking into her eyes. “ I don’t have strawberries, it’s the flower vase that gives the fragrance of strawberries in my home.” He clears the air with his explanation to Angela.

Angela felt her hormones begging for a kiss or touch from the hot hunk in front of her, but then remembered Leo miller her mate. She suddenly shakes off any weird thinking. “ Are you ok? You have been quiet for some seconds. Don’t you believe me?” Dmitri sadly asked Angela, still looking deep into her eyes. He couldn’t take his gaze off her. “ Wish she is my mate.” Dmitri thought to himself. “ No Dmitri, I just feel I have been doing the wrong things of late.” Angela replied, almost in tears.

Curious Dmitri, looks confused and then he wants a clear understanding of what she meant. “ How ?” He asked Angela again. “ Well, firstly, I just met you few days back in my school’s frat party and now I am in your house. What if you already found your mate and I’m just here fooling myself, when I should be with my own mate.” Angela sadly responds to the hearing of Dmitri, who wishes he could plant a warm kiss on her lips now, because she was looking even more beautiful with a sad look than before. “ I haven’t found a mate yet, I told you before, and that was the reason I came down to America from Australia to see if I can find my mate.” Dmitri spoke up almost immediately Angela was done speaking. “ But how come? You always get visitors into your home…. “ Hold on!” Dmitri interrupts Angela instantly. “Yes! I invite most of my friends to visit me, but I don’t do anything with them. I’m not gay, plus the only female lady that visited me two days ago, is my cousin from my moonlight pack in Australia.”

Angela felt a bit relieved, he had cleared her suspicion with his explanation. Even though she didn’t ask for it, Dmitri still tried to make her understand. He was indeed a gentleman and the man of her dreams, unlike her annoying, over pompous mate , who was so commanding and disrespectful to others. “ How did I get such an annoying creep?” Angela unconsciously blurted out to the hearing of Dmitri, who was still holding her waist. “ What did you say?” Dmitri sharply spoke up.

Angela realized she voiced out her thoughts to the hearing of Dmitri and knew she needed to clear him on who she was talking about. She really didn’t want to bug him with her troubles, but now she had to, if not he might think she was referring to him when she voiced out her thoughts. “ It’s not what you think! Dmitri I can explain.” Angela tried to loose her grip and move away from Dmitri, but he still was clinging to her, still looking into her beautiful eyes. “ Well, explain to me. What’s really going on Angela, you haven’t been yourself since you walked into my house. Is there something I did or something you are not telling me?” He sadly asked her, seeking for answers to his questions.

Angela saw how concerned Dmitri looked. He really cared to know what was wrong with her, such a charming Omega werewolf. “ When I voiced out my thoughts, it was not because of you. It was because of my mate.” She guiltly spoke to Dmitri. “ Have you found your mate?” He asked almost heartbroken. “ Well, Yes! And I hate him so so much. He was an annoying bully to me during my high school years before he transferred to another school years ago. But now he’s back and hasn’t repented from his evil ways towards me.” Angela replied back to Dmitri’s question. A tear drop soon fell from her eyes into Dmitri’s chest. “ Please Angela, Don’t cry.” He tried to console her. He could see the pain in her eyes. “ I don’t want Leo miller to be my mate, he’s heartless and wicked.” Angela’s tears rushed out even more as she spoke. It was as if her tears were tied to her words.

Dmitri felt guilty for pressuring Angela to explain to him when she had voiced her thoughts out loud . If only he knew her explaining to him, was really going to break her down this way, he would have just ignored it. “Hey Angela, look at me.” Dmitri tried to encourage Angela, who was now shedding tears with her head bowed. He used the tip of his middle finger to lift up her fragile face towards his own face. “ You will be fine now, I promise. And I truly I’m sorry for the pain Leo or whatever has caused you. I am here now and I promise to look after you with everything I have.” Dmitri cleaned Angela’s tears with his palm, consoling her with his words.” But Dmitri, Leo is my mate and he would certainly fight you if he sees us together.” She clearly spoke with her tears now dried up.

“Honestly, it really hurts me to hear that you have found your mate. I truly like you Angela and wanted you to be my mate. I don’t care if leo fights me, I am willing to fight for you and defend you. This time around he would have to go through me to hurt you any further.” Dmitri promised.

Angela felt so touched by Dmitri’s words that she planted a kiss on him almost immediately he was done speaking. No one has ever tried to fight for her, after what Leo did to Gene on his first day back to school.

They both share another kiss almost making out. Dmitri grabbed Angela tight, he was ready to devour her in a good way though. The feelings were so strong between them with adrenaline kicking in. Dmitri was about taking off his shirt before Angela pushed him off and ran out heading home.

On her way home, she kept on thinking about what had happened in Dmitri’s house. She couldn’t believe how cheap she was to have almost slept with Dmitri on her first visit to his house. Leo was probably right when he called her cheap. Her emotions always had a way of getting the best part of her, and now look at what she has done.

When she gets home she starts wondering what was actually wrong with her, she had already vowed to only allow her mate have her first time. She remembers Leo was her mate and shakes her head saying that leo can never have her first time. She walks out of the house that night to clear her head in a bit to think of what to do now that she was stuck between Leo, who was her mate but she hates so much and Dimitri who she is falling in love with but wasn’t her mate who she has vowed to share her first time with. She always felt like a queen whenever she was around Dmitri and knew he was the right man for her. But it was too good to be through because her mate of Leo. While trying to decide, Leo shows up and grabs her from behind. “ I have missed you bunny.” Leo evilly whispers into her ears. She gasped when she realized it was him and starts struggling to escape. “ Take your filthy hands off me you fool!” Angela screams in anger. But his grip on her waist was more tight. “ Is that how to treat your mate? Don’t I even get a kiss.” Leo clutched her even tighter to himself whispering into her ears again. “ That will be over my dead body Leo. I can’t have sex with you because I hate you for everything you did to me in highschool.” Angela replied in to Leo in anger.

Leo felt a pinch in his heart. He really regretted everything he did to Angela and wishes she will forgive him. Even though he wasn’t used to saying the apology words, he was truly sorry. But his pride and ego didn’t make him look like he was really sorry, he couldn’t see himself kneeling to apologize to Angela, besides he was an Alpha werewolf, a wealthy one at that. “ You are forgetting something bunny, I am in control of your body. And I can’t do whatever I want with it.” Leo threatened Angela further.

Angela begins to cry again, her mind flashes back to the moment she had with Dmitri, he treated her like a queen and made sure she didn’t cry, wiping her tears with his palms. Leo is a complete opposite, he loved to see her cry and wouldn’t care to console her. “ What kind of mate are you?” Angela tearfully speaks up. “The type of mate that don’t take nonsense and wants to see you suffer.“ He laughed after finishing his sentence. Angela was infuriated by his last sentence, angrily knocking his hands off her waste, now facing him. “ You are very different from the other guys who treat their mates with care and love . You are just a proud bully and I wished you were never my mate because I feel like killing you.” Angela blurted out those words like she was talking to a sworn enemy with hate complimenting her eyes towards leo miller.

” How dare you talk….. “ Wait let me finish!” Angela interrupts Leo who was trying to play the bad boy with his authoritative look and threatening words. “ Let me ask you a question Leo, Do you really feel so high and mighty bullying people especially me? Answer the question fool!.” Leo was stunned at how aggressive Angela was towards him. He was impressed but at the same time not happy and needed to teach her a lesson she will never forget in a hurry. He grabbed her body closer to his, not letting go of her waist. “ leave me alone Leo, I hate you!” Angela provokingly voiced out.

“ I told you I answer to no one, yet you keep asking me questions.” Leo barked at Angela. “ I want to be left alone, I’m serious Leo, leave me alone.” Angela mustered courage to speak back to him. “ I saw you with him.” Leo suddenly blurts out. He had vowed not to let Angela know that he was jealous, seeing her with the new guy. After all he was her mate and deserves all submission from her and not for her to be playing with other foreign looking dudes.

Angela knew what Leo was talking about and couldn’t deny it. “ Yes! You saw me with the new guy and so what? “ Angela barked at Leo. “ Who is he and what relationship does he have with you.” Leo instantly questions her seeking for an answer. “ And if I don’t tell you what will you do? I really wished the new guy was my first time and not you idiot!” Angela rudely replies back to Leo’s question. The both of their bodies were so close that Leo wished he could make love to her. Angela really looks hot and attractive when she’s angry and he wanted to have a quick taste of her. But he just had to control his emotions. And so he pressed her further for answers to his questions. “ I am the Alpha here, and you should remember that we are mates and are supposed to consumate before any other freak comes close to you.” Leo threatened.
