About an hour after Elena went downstairs to join Alpha Jaxon in welcoming their guests, I sneaked out of her room and entered the narrow corridor.

As I approached the Alpha’s room, I could hear male voices inside but they sounded far away. I was afraid but my desire to get back my necklace pushed me further
