I was actually excited about the weekend. Alex and I planned to spend time together, so that he could get to know Jay and Vicky. But unfortunately, he had a family gathering in Sicily.

The sound of the doorbell echoed, startling me. It's almost eight in the evening. We just had dinner. Jay and Vicky were watching TV while I was washing dishes. Nat usually just bargs in
