C5 Boss Get Me Some Food!!

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

With a burst of gunfire, the 20 lead horned cows in the stampede collapsed as if their bones had been yanked out. They bellowed in agony, tumbling to the ground in defeat.

Bowl-sized wounds gaped in their sides, from which blood poured in torrents, soaking the grass beneath them a deep crimson. Surely, this grassland would flourish exceptionally well next year.

"Moo! Moo! Moo!"

The scene halted the charging horned cows in their tracks. They stood their ground, restless and bellowing loudly, yet they hesitated to advance any further.

"Moo!"

A bull's roar, loud enough to split the air, echoed from the rear, silencing the once restless herd as they readied themselves for another charge.

But the very bull that had sounded the call was struck by the next volley from the Sniper Type 1 Combat Robot. Its head, hit by the bullet, was compressed to less than the thickness of paper. The metal bullets, packed with tremendous kinetic energy, sliced through the bull's skull as effortlessly as a red-hot knife through butter.

The bull's head burst like a smashed watermelon, exploding with a loud pop, sending blood and brain matter spraying in all directions.

Witnessing this, the remaining horned cows scattered in a frantic escape, only to be systematically picked off by the Sniper Type 1 Combat Robot.

"No wonder the grassland tribes became so warm and welcoming, so adept at song and dance, after the machine gun was invented!"

From a distance, Wang Changqing watched the entire ordeal through a Nano Reconnaissance Robot and uttered a perplexed sigh.

Your forces have slain 84 Level 1 Big Horn Bulls and 2 Level 2 Big Horn Bulls, exterminating an entire herd and securing a minor victory in this micro-warfare. You've earned 94 experience points and 94 units of Soul Crystals.

Congratulations on reaching Level 2.

Level: 2 (14/500)

Wang Changqing felt a surge of warmth rise from his belly, coursing through his body before flooding into his brain, leaving him enveloped in a cozy warmth akin to soaking in a hot bath for an hour on a cold winter's day, followed by a thorough massage from a skilled masseuse.

He could distinctly sense his strength multiplying several-fold.

As he clenched his fists, he felt a surge of power coursing through his body, confident he could now fell a Level 1 Wild Wolf with a single punch.

Of course, there was no way he would engage in hand-to-hand combat with a Wild Wolf. Why would Grand Lord Wang bother to personally dispatch a minor threat that could be taken out with a single shot?

Wang Changqing ascended the dirt slope, gazing toward where the Big Horn Bulls had been.

The bulls lay strewn across the wilderness, their bodies pooling with fresh red blood.

Despite the distance of several hundred meters, the thick scent of blood still wafted to him.

This was the second time Wang Changqing had witnessed such a gruesome sight. Though still somewhat unsettled, his mental fortitude had clearly grown since his encounter with the Wild Wolf.

Surveying the fallen Big Horn Bulls and assessing his system space, Wang Changqing realized he couldn't accommodate all the spoils of war.

He then instructed a nearby Defender Combat Robot, "Return to our lands and locate the government official, Moo Niu. Inform him that I've slain a herd of Big Horn Bulls in the wilderness and he needs to bring a team to transport the spoils."

After delegating the battlefield cleanup to a squad of Mechanical Warriors, Wang Changqing seated himself on the slope, sinking into deep contemplation.

The bewilderment and trepidation that had gripped him upon his arrival at the Initial Continent had significantly lessened after these two hunts.

The wilderness hunts had given him a good grasp of the Mechanical Warriors' combat capabilities, and he realized that with his powerful mechanical troops, as long as he avoided foolish risks, he could thrive in this wild land. At least in the beginning, he should be able to progress rapidly.

"Where exactly is this wilderness on the Initial Continent? What powers lie in the vicinity?" His mind teemed with thoughts, questions bubbling up and then receding into the recesses of his consciousness.

Shaking his head, Wang Changqing resolved to play it by ear.

He nonchalantly opened the world chat channel.

By now, the Lords from Blue Planet had been on the Initial Continent for nearly ten hours, gaining some insight into this new world and experiencing a few odd occurrences. For instance, Wang Changqing now spotted an intriguing exchange unfolding before him.

I have ten houses on Blue Planet: "Can you believe it? An aboriginal from the Initial Continent just came up to me and asked if I was selling my territory."

Passerby A laughed: "Hahaha, that aboriginal sure is something else. So, brother, what did you tell him?"

I have ten houses on Blue Planet: "I joked with him, saying, 'Hand over a million gold coins, and my territory is yours.'"

Passerby B chimed in: "Big bro, you're quite the player! A million gold coins! Those lowly aboriginals could farm for a thousand years and still not make that much!"

Passerby C added: "Who does that? Does that aboriginal have a screw loose? He's completely out of touch with reality!"

Passerby D commented: "That's just outrageous!"

I have ten houses on Blue Planet: "But, to my absolute shock, the guy actually pulled out a million gold coins and laid them right in front of me!"

Passerby A asked: "Big brother, did you go through with the sale?"

I have ten houses on Blue Planet: "You ask a good question, my friend. Of course, I sold it in a heartbeat. My run-down territory was practically worthless, and I never expected to find such a sucker to buy it, hahaha... I'm in the middle of the transaction with that fool right now. Once I'm done, I probably won't have time to shoot the breeze with you guys. But hey, when you make it to the Black Mountain Dukedom, look me up! I'm planning to settle there and buy ten more houses to rent out in one of the cities. I'm going to be a landlord all over again! Hahaha..."

Passerby B said: "A landlord in another world? This guy's got game! Why isn't anyone buying my territory?!"

Wang Changqing watched this exchange with a furrowed brow. Truth be told, the idea of selling his territory to live the life of a wealthy city dweller was quite tempting.

Yet, something about this whole situation didn't sit right with him, though he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

However, this conversation did clarify one thing for him: the native powers of the Initial Continent were loaded!

This principle became Wang Changqing's golden rule for engaging with the indigenous forces: as they say on Blue Planet, "A fool and his money are soon parted!"

After shutting down the world chat, he glanced over the battlefield to find the mechanical soldiers had already cleared the area.

"Time sure flies when you're online!"

Having crammed his 25-cubic-meter system space to the brim, Wang Changqing eyed the copious spoils of war still littering the ground and smirked. This was a good problem to have.

If only he could access the Lord's Trading Market outside his domain, he'd list all these spoils for sale in a heartbeat.

Torn about whether to have the Combat Robots haul the loot back, he eventually decided against the time-saving method, opting to wait for his subjects to transport the goods.

His rationale was simple: let the people witness the grisly battlefield and the scattered spoils, reinforcing their loyalty.

Wang Changqing looked up at the sky, noting the approach of twilight.

"Dinner time."

The mere thought of food triggered a rumble from his stomach.

"I'm a complete fool. I hadn't eaten for days before arriving on the Initial Continent, and after half a day's journey here, it's no wonder I'm starving!" Chiding himself internally, Wang Changqing quickly called over a Defender Type 1 Combat Robot, hoisted himself onto its shoulder, and bellowed, "Home, time to chow down!"

The strategy to boost loyalty was now a distant afterthought, his mind singularly focused on one thing: eating.

Leaving 20 Mechanical Soldiers to watch over the spoils, Wang Changqing rode on the shoulder of the Defender Type 1 Combat Robot, with the rest of the Mechanical Legion in tow, racing toward his domain.

En route, he encountered Moo Niu leading a throng of his people, under the protection of a Defender. But with hunger clouding his senses, Wang Changqing could only manage to blurt out, "The spoils are just ahead," before pressing on.

At Wang Changqing's command, the Mechanical Legion hastened back to their territory with utmost speed.

No sooner had Wang Changqing arrived at the Lord Mansion than he realized there was nobody to cook for him. Overcome with hunger and too weak to cook for himself, he dashed out of the mansion and made his way to the territory's sole tavern.

Bursting through the tavern door, Wang Changqing bellowed, "Innkeeper, serve me a meal!"
