C1 Back Home

The Moon sat gracefully up in the Sky and the Moonlight shone brightly on everything around. However, the brightness of the Moon wasn't enough light up the dead life of Lily as she kept her room dark and she silently wallowed in self regret and blame.

In the dark room, came ceaseless sighing and the one sighing lay on her bed, staring mindlessly at the roof. Lily was thinking about all that had happened to her in the past few years. She was thinking of what she could do next for her life to take a good turn and how she could right her wrongs and correct her Mistakes.

Lily kept thinking about her past mistakes and what she could do to correct those mistakes and everything came flashing back in her mind.

*Flashback...*

Lily was strolling down the street like she usually did every day when she suddenly saw that a cat was stuck under a gutter slab. She rushed down yo help the cat get out of the slab and she gently caressed its beautiful fur.

"Are you lost, Little one? Lily looks around for anyone who could own the cat. "Where is your momma?

"Mew..." The cat whimpered.

"I guess that's a yes, you must be lost." She answered herself. "Would you like to go home with me?

"Meeeew" The cat Whimpered again.

"Okay, that must be a yes too." Lily rubs the cat's fur. "Then let's get you home."

"I live down this street you know. Sometimes I wish I had a pet, I think my prayers has finally been answered, and you have been sent by the hea...."

"Ahhh...." Lily jumped backward, barely avoiding a huge hole beside the road and she fell down while still trying to make sure the cat wasn't hurt.

"What was that? she shouted. "Can't you even drive properly? She yelled at the car that almost hit her. "Can't you see? Who even gave a license to an awful driver like you?

The car halted, and the driver came down and opened the door. A man majestically came out of the car.

The man looked like a prince in one those fairy tales. wearing a white shirt, A black suit, A pair of shiny black designer shoes. In short everything about the man screamed royalty.

The man walked towards lily and squatted before her. "Miss, I'm really sorr...."

"Please. Don't give me one of those fake apologies! I don't need them!

"How could you allow your driver to drive at such speed? He drove without caring about other people's safety." Lilly hissed and shook her head.

"Do you own the road for you to just drive however you wish? I know why you did that. Its because you believe you are rich and can do whatever you want and your family can take care of whatever consequence that comes with that, right?

Lily dusts herself. "That is why I hate you rich people. You believe you own the world and can do whatever you wish with the people residing in it.

"But miss, you don't seem to unders...."

The man tried to explain but Lily just wasn't ready to listen to him at all. She felt really mad at his driver's reckless driving.

"Please, don't even try to give any excuse, I won't buy it! Lily said as she picked up her newly found cat.

She stood up and brushed off all the dirt on her clothes. She hissed in pain as she tried to walk.

"Ouch... my knee! Lily cried out in pain and she held the fence beside the road for support.

The man noticed she was in pain and he tried to hold her. "Miss, let me help yo..."

"Don't touch me!

"Don't even dare!

Lily shouted and her Lip curled up in disgust. "You may be rich and believe you own the world, but I am sorry to disappoint you Mister, because I am not one of those that you can treat that way." She said trying not to roll her eyes. She managed to steady herself and she held the cat. "If you'll please excuse me, I need to go."

She hissed loudly and walked away from the man, with the cat still in her arms. "I just can't stand these rich people." Lily said while caressing the cat's head, "Can you?"

Young master we need to go now; the madam is still waiting for us." The driver said, reminding his boss who seem completely lost staring at the leaving silhouette of the woman who dared cut him off while talking and still boldly walked away from him.

"Oh, okay." coming out of his daze, he waves at his driver. "Let's go."

The car halted at the entrance of the city hospital one of the best hospitals in country B, Prince franklin stepped out majestically. Deeply inhaling the sweet scent of being back home again.

"It's good to finally be home."

*In a luxurious room in the hospital a woman in her mid-sixty was lying down she was wearing a hospital gown yet her white skin glowed beneath the dim sunlight ray that shined through the window, her grey hair shone like white gold making her look like a queen.

Another woman was also seated in the room looking extravagant, she was worried about the elderly woman lying on the bed and she was also talking to someone on the phone.

"Why isn't he here yet? I was told he landed about an hour ago, he should have been here already. Mrs. Smith asked worriedly. "What is keeping him? or did he change his mind?

Right at this moment, the door creaked and opened. A middle-aged man came in with a smile on his face.

"Is he here yet?

No," Mrs. Smith replied sadly. She looked sadly at her husband. "I don't know why he still hasn't arrived.

"Don't worry, dear, he'll be here soon." Mr. Smith assured his wife; You know he cares the most about his grandma and wouldn't want anything to happen to her so I trust he'd come.

"Are you sure?
