C11 You Ate Your Own Fruit

"What exactly is your relationship with Qisheng, Liang Han? Don't forget, you're already married! How can you be so shameless?" Anqi was fuming, her face flushed with anger, unable to out-argue Liang Han.

Liang Han was more concerned about what her grandfather and Qisheng had discussed and didn't want to waste time arguing with Anqi. "If you're so curious about my relationship with Qisheng, why don't you ask him yourself? If you can't, then use what little brainpower you have to figure it out."

With that, Liang Han hurried back to Liang Yuanshan's room. By the time she got there, Qisheng was already gone, leaving her grandfather sitting alone.

"Grandpa," Liang Han said, glancing around the room before walking over to him.

Liang Yuanshan turned to look at her, his eyes carrying a hint of reproach. "Let me ask you honestly, was what you said earlier true? Are you really planning to get a divorce?"

Liang Han hadn't expected him to ask so seriously and hesitated for a moment. The idea of divorce was something she had come up with to provoke Qisheng, but now, faced with her grandfather's earnest question, she found herself unsure.

Liang Han sat down in front of Liang Yuanshan, her mind replaying the unpleasant image of Gu Qisheng and the oppression she faced after marrying him. Her resolve strengthened. "Grandpa, I'm serious. I want a divorce."

"Alright, I promised you before that if you were unhappy with the Gu family and wanted a divorce, I would support you. Even though our family owes the Gu family five million dollars, it's not impossible to repay. I'll give him the money, and you two can part ways. If you're not happy, then it's best to go through with the divorce."

Liang Yuanshan nodded, making the decision final with just a few words.

For some reason, Liang Han felt a bit uneasy. After a moment's thought, she tentatively asked Liang Yuanshan, "What did you say to him earlier?"

"What did I say? That's not important. What's important is your determination to get a divorce." Liang Yuanshan looked at her meaningfully.

Liang Han's face warmed, and she lowered her head, saying nothing more.

Usually, Liang Han loved visiting Liang Yuanshan, but today she seemed distracted. Especially after getting his approval for the divorce, an inexplicable restlessness and anxiety filled her heart.

Neither of them noticed that after Liang Han entered, Liang Anqi, driven by dissatisfaction, had followed and overheard their entire conversation from the doorway.

"Anqi, did you really marry Qisheng? How is that possible? I can't believe it!"

Anqi left the care facility in a hurry, her face looking troubled. Once outside, she headed straight home. As she walked in, she saw her parents, Qinghe and Su'e, chatting happily in the living room.

"Dad, Mom, I need to talk to you about something."

The news she had overheard at the care facility still made her uneasy, and she wasn't sure who to confide in. She decided to gauge her parents' reactions first.

"What is it, Anqi?" Su'e beamed at her daughter, her smile growing even brighter. Even Qinghe, who wasn't usually very warm towards Anqi, seemed more relaxed.

There was a lot of buzz around town about Anqi's connection to Qisheng. If she could really marry him and join his family, the Liang family would undoubtedly rise in status.

"I went to visit Grandpa today," Anqi began, but Qinghe's expression immediately darkened.

"Why would you go see him?" he asked.

"Dad, just hear me out. I saw that troublemaker Liang Han there, and Qisheng was with her," Anqi said, growing anxious and stamping her foot for emphasis.

Liang Qinghe frowned deeply, pondering the meaning behind Anqi's words.

"Grandpa sent Liang Han and me away later, and he had a long private conversation with Gu Qisheng. After Liang Han left, I thought I'd check if Gu Qisheng was still around. Then, I overheard Grandpa asking her if she was planning to divorce Gu Qisheng!"

Anqi's eyes reddened as she sat beside Faang Su'e. "Mom, how could she? What right does she have to marry Gu Qisheng? How am I any less than her? Mom, this can't be true, right? How could that woman possibly marry Gu Qisheng? What gives her the right?"
