C13 It Was a Heated Discussion
She ran back upstairs and dug out their original marriage agreement. Scanning through it, everything seemed fine until she reached the bottom, where a small line of text read clearly: "The final right of interpretation of this agreement belongs to Gu Qisheng."
Fuming with anger, Liang Han stormed downstairs, waving the agreement in front of Gu Qisheng. "Gu Qisheng, did you trick me?"
"Tell me, do we continue or end this?" Gu Qisheng didn't deny it, smiling in a way that was infuriating.
Liang Han tore the agreement into pieces. "Why? You clearly don't like me, so why keep me tied to you? Can't we just part ways amicably?"
She threw the shredded agreement back at Gu Qisheng, her striking features flushed with anger.
"Why? Who was it that begged me to marry them in the first place? Now that you've used me, you want to ditch me and run off with the man you really love? Liang Han, the world doesn't work that way!" The thought of her laughing sweetly with that other man recently felt like a thorn in Gu Qisheng's heart.
Liang Han stepped back, cornered by his words. "What are you talking about? I have no idea what you mean!"
"What's the matter? Can't take responsibility for your actions? Let me tell you, as long as you stick to our original agreement to divorce after three years of marriage, I won't say a word against it. But right now, that's not happening!" Qisheng looked at Han's guilty expression, feeling more certain of his thoughts, his anger intensifying.
"Three years? We originally agreed on two..." Han instinctively protested, but her words trailed off when she met Qisheng's fiery gaze, immediately backing down.
"The right to interpret the original agreement is mine. Your behavior in this first year of marriage hasn't been great, so the agreement's duration is extended." Qisheng stepped forward, causing Han to step back until she hit the bed, falling onto it. Her foot accidentally caught Qisheng's, pulling him down on top of her, making her grunt from the impact.
"Qisheng, what are you doing? Get off!" Han instinctively pushed against the man pinning her down, feeling both embarrassed and angry.
"What? You throw yourself at me and now you're playing hard to get? Since you're so eager to invite me, how could I possibly refuse?" Qisheng teased, lifting Han's chin with his hand.
The woman's eyes, filled with tears of anger, looked incredibly enticing. In front of her, Qisheng's usual self-control was nowhere to be found. Unable to resist, he leaned in and kissed her.
"Qisheng, mm..."
All of Han's protests and dissatisfaction were drowned in that kiss, leaving only a soft whimper that held no threat, but rather, a deep allure. Qisheng's heart stirred, and he deepened the kiss.
The tense atmosphere quickly shifted to one of warmth and intimacy. Moments later, clothes were scattered on the floor, and the room was filled with a tender ambiance.
The next day, Han woke up feeling sore all over. It was already three in the afternoon. Seeing the mess around her, she gritted her teeth in frustration. That infuriating Qisheng! He had gone too far!
Despite her discomfort, she forced herself to get up, intending to freshen up. Just then, her phone rang—it was Yuanshan. Remembering her firm declaration about getting a divorce the day before, which Yuanshan had reluctantly agreed to, Han felt a wave of anxiety.
Qisheng, known for his vengeful nature, was nowhere to be found. The divorce papers from the night before were neatly placed on the coffee table in the living room. With a surge of anger, she glanced at them once more and tore them to shreds.
"Why did I say that?" she muttered to herself. Just then, her phone rang. It was Han Ning calling. Liang Han rubbed her temples and answered the call.
