C18 She Was Jealous
Gu Qisheng took the phone, and Mo Chen gave him a knowing look, expecting him to answer it. But to his surprise, Qisheng tossed the phone onto the table.
"Qisheng, are you really going to be this stubborn with your wife? What if she actually needs you for something urgent? You'll regret it!" Mo Chen was genuinely worried for him and quickly picked up the phone, pressing the answer button.
A frantic voice came through, and before it finished, Qisheng had already snatched the phone from Mo Chen and hurried out.
Mo Chen, lounging on the couch with one leg crossed over the other, smirked to himself, "Qisheng, you're really stuck on this one, aren't you?"
Back home, Qisheng headed straight for Liang Han's room, only to find Steward Liu pacing anxiously outside the door. At the sound of footsteps, hope lit up in his eyes.
Steward Liu never dared delay anything concerning Liang Han, as Qisheng had instructed him to report everything about her directly to him.
"Sir, you're finally back. Ma'am hasn't eaten all day, and she won't open the door no matter how much I knock. What should we do?" Steward Liu reported nervously.
"Could she have gone out?" Qisheng asked.
Liang Han was always gentle with everyone else, never making things difficult for the staff, though she reserved her sharpness for him.
Steward Liu replied, "No, she would have had to pass through the main entrance, and I haven't seen her all day."
Without leaving the house or opening the door.
"Are you sick?" Gu Qisheng's brow furrowed slightly as he clenched his fists. He kicked the door open and strode inside.
The lump under the blanket on the bed was clearly Liang Han, but despite the loud noise of the door being kicked in, she hadn't moved. This made Gu Qisheng worry even more.
He approached the bed and looked down, shocked by what he saw. His eyes filled with concern.
"Quick! Get a doctor right away!" Gu Qisheng ordered in a low voice.
Steward Liu, standing at the door, immediately complied.
Gu Qisheng knelt down, his large hands trembling slightly as he gently touched Liang Han's forehead. She was burning up, sweat beading on her forehead and running down her face, which was covered in red blotches.
Liang Han had already lost consciousness.
"You fool, if you're allergic to alcohol, why did you drink so much?" he murmured softly, gazing at her.
Suddenly, as if reacting to something, Liang Han grabbed Gu Qisheng's hand and pulled it to her chest, anxiously muttering, "Senior!"
Gu Qisheng's eyebrows shot up in surprise. He tried to pull his hand away, but she held on tightly. He stared intently at her weary face, his expression serious and silent.
At Steward Liu's request, the doctor arrived swiftly. After examining Liang Han, he determined that her allergic reaction wasn't due to excessive drinking but rather from the vinegar in the hangover soup. He administered a fever-reducing shot and gave her allergy medication before leaving.
Once again, only Gu Qisheng and Liang Han were left in the room.
Yesterday, she couldn't stop praising her idol while drunk, and today, even with a fever, she kept thinking about her senior! Gu Qisheng felt uneasy. Frustrated, he pulled back the covers and unbuttoned her shirt, knowing what needed to be done.
As Liang Han's clothes were removed, her fair skin, dotted with red welts, looked unsettling. Yet, Gu Qisheng remained unfazed as he reached out.
"Gu Qisheng, what are you doing?" Liang Han suddenly sat up, quickly grabbing the blanket to cover her bare upper body, staring at him in fear. She never imagined he would try to take advantage of her in such a vulnerable moment.
