C19 Goodnight
Gu Qisheng's face was stern as he picked up the bottle of medicine, his voice cold and commanding. "If you want these bumps to disappear quickly and without a trace, you'd better lie down."
His tone carried a hint of authority.
Qisheng had heard before that Liang Han hated jealousy, but it was only today he learned that her jealousy triggered severe allergic reactions—far worse than typical allergies. If he hadn't been around her so much, he might not have recognized her when he walked in. Her face was so swollen from the bumps that it looked like a puffed-up pastry.
This allergy didn't cause itching, which is why Liang Han had mistakenly thought Qisheng was making advances earlier. She looked down at her bumpy arms and shuddered.
Even she found it disgusting! And she had a fear of clusters!
"Fine, then. Have the maid apply the medicine. No need for you to do it yourself," Liang Han said, curling up awkwardly.
Even though they had been intimate before, she still felt uncomfortable with him applying the medicine.
"I've seen every part of you already. Hurry up! The medicine won't be as effective if you wait any longer," Qisheng said, his expression remaining icy.
Liang Han had no choice but to lie obediently on the bed, letting him apply the ointment on her back. Gu Qisheng remained silent, and Liang Han, biting her lip, finally couldn't help but ask.
"Don't you find my face terrifying?" she asked, instinctively reaching out to gently touch her swollen cheek.
It was the first time she had shown such an unattractive side of herself to someone else. However, Gu Qisheng seemed neither disgusted nor sympathetic. This realization made Liang Han's heart sink.
"Not just terrifying, but also quite ugly," Gu Qisheng remarked bluntly.
Liang Han felt as if her heart had plummeted. She had always been conscious of her appearance. After all, as a model, her face was her livelihood. If an allergic reaction left scars, how could she continue her career?
She sighed softly, "That's it, I might be out of a job."
Her words were met with silence. Gu Qisheng was meticulously applying the ointment, paying no attention to her.
The atmosphere grew awkward until the phone rang, breaking the tension.
"My hands are covered in ointment. Can you answer that for me?" Gu Qisheng stood up, raising his hands, and nodded toward his pocket.
He stood there, and when Liang Han looked up, she found herself staring directly at the center of his pants. She quickly turned her head away, unable to bear the sight. "Turn around so I can get up," she said.
This man was still getting calls in the middle of the night—what a busy guy, Liang Han thought to herself.
Gu Qisheng obliged and turned around. Only then did she carefully get up and reach into his pocket for his phone. She glanced at the screen, and the name displayed stung her eyes.
It had only been a day since the rumors about him and Anqi started, and now this woman was calling again. It was already 11 PM—had they really gotten to the point of saying goodnight to each other before bed?
Sensing something was off, Gu Qisheng turned back around. Liang Han, flustered, crossed her arms and accused, "I didn't tell you to turn back!"
But it wasn't Gu Qisheng who responded. Instead, it was the voice from the phone, which she had accidentally answered on speaker.
"Qisheng, are you asleep? Why is it so noisy over there?"
