C24 Dao Seeking Sect Descended

"Bastard, imbecile!" Fu Yuanqing ranted incessantly as he paced back and forth inside the spaceship, turning to Shi Er to vent, "I wasted precious pills to revive him, gave him a magical treasure, and still, he just up and dies on me."

Shi Er kept his head bowed, silent, though he thought to himself, "Without the willingness to hand over a true magic treasure, his death was inevitable." But these were words he would never dare voice aloud.

"Keep bombing it until it's gone," Fu Yuanqing roared, directing his fury at the factory now reduced to rubble.

"Young Master, there's no one left alive inside. Chu Xing has escaped," Shi Er murmured.

"You fool, didn't you hear me? Blow it up!" Fu Yuanqing strode over and delivered a kick to Shi Er.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Shi Er scrambled to his feet, hastily agreeing as another barrage of explosions began outside, eventually leaving a massive crater.

"Young Master, we wouldn't have neglected this place if not for matters concerning Mount Kunlun," Shi Er said, trying to appease Fu Yuanqing as his anger subsided.

"Hmm, that kid is too slippery. He even killed Di Ou. It looks like I'll have to take matters into my own hands."

"Young Master, that's too risky. We should notify the Master!"

"It's definitely a grand legacy; I must seize it. You'll go down later and search for it."

"Ah, Young Master, I'm not up to the task!"

"You'll have to be. Get to Mount Kunlun."

After resting for a night, Chu Xing prepared to head to the capital to find Chu Hao. Since the spaceship's attack, his phone had lost all signal.

"Chu Hao, you must be safe," Chu Xing silently prayed.

The flying ship's assault had ravaged the city, leaving many dead. Fu Yuanqing had no interest in governance, only in looting, destruction, and his own pleasure. With the nation's institutions in disarray, people were left to fend for themselves.

As Chu Xing traveled north, he encountered countless displaced individuals, witnessing families torn apart, which only intensified the urgency in his heart.

He found a serene spot to lay to rest the sweet girl, Yu Xi.

That day, as Chu Xing crossed into Hebei, an overwhelming force weighed him down, and he scanned his surroundings in alarm. Just then, a voice echoed from above.

"Don't be afraid. I am Jin Yu from the Dao Seeking Sect, at the Nascent Infant Stage. Earth is now under our sect's governance, and those who have harmed you will face punishment. Detailed announcements will follow shortly."

"What's happening? Has a Nascent Infant Stage cultivator discovered Earth? It's hard to tell if this is good or bad." Chu Xing gazed up at the sky, his expression one of bewilderment.

By this time, Earth's inhabitants were well aware of extraterrestrial life. Their civilization's lag had laid bare the harsh realities of the universe, leaving them with no choice but to wait in silence.

Deep in the cosmos, within a cavern on Dao Seeking Peak of Dao Seeking Star, Immortal Chilian rushed out, soaring towards the mountain's summit.

He had been in deep meditation, crafting an essential elixir. To perfect this concoction, he had cut off all external senses to prevent disturbances. After half a year of seclusion, just as the elixir neared completion, his joy was shattered by an unexpected event, causing him to forget to secure the pill.

Arriving at the Sect Master's cave entrance, he couldn't wait to be announced and started calling out, "Sect Master, Senior Brother, Sect Master!"

Disciples by the door gave chase, calling out, "Elder Chilian, the Sect Master is in seclusion and must not be disturbed."

"Sect Master, Senior Brother, Sect Master!" Chilian had already entered, exclaiming, "There's been a major development."

"Chilian, you're as hasty as ever. Ding Bai, please leave us," said an elderly man with a gentle voice.

The man had a crown of gray-white hair, with deep-set, brownish eyes beneath white brows, and a long white beard that cascaded over his chest.

"As you wish, Sect Master," Ding Bai replied, bowing and exiting the room.

Without waiting for the Sect Master to inquire, Chilian blurted out, "Senior Brother Sect Master, the seal on the Red Sun Galaxy has been broken."

"What?" The Sect Master looked at Chilian, his face a mix of confusion and the dawning realization of an old memory.

"The catastrophe in the Red Sun Galaxy from thirty thousand years ago!" Chilian stepped closer, urgency in his voice.

"Are you certain? How did you come to know the seal has been undone?" The Sect Master's composure vanished as he stood abruptly, gripping Chilian's robe.

Thirty thousand years ago, I was near the Red Sun Galaxy when my Cloud Devouring Beast was on the verge of a breakthrough, so I placed it on Blue Star. Unexpectedly, a crisis occurred. To avoid detection by the One-Eyed Demonic God, I put the beast into hibernation, never anticipating that the Red Sun Galaxy would be sealed." Chilian spoke rapidly, "Just now, I suddenly felt the presence of the Cloud Devouring Beast."

"The seal must have been broken. Do you have any idea what's happened?" The Sect Leader's gaze was fraught with concern, a stark departure from his usual composure.

"I've already sent Jin Yu from the Horse Man Galaxy to investigate. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, I sought you out immediately, Senior Brother Sect Leader," Chilian said, facing the Sect Leader.

"This is a matter of utmost significance, one that could spell disaster for our sect," the Sect Leader said, pacing the room with urgency. After a moment's thought, he instructed, "No need to wait. Have Qingqiu join you, and keep me updated with any developments."

"Understood. I'm on my way," Chilian replied, then swiftly departed.

Exiting his cave dwelling, the Sect Leader gazed toward the Red Sun Galaxy, his expression pained as he recalled the events of thirty thousand years prior.

"Ding Bai, strike the bell for a council," he ordered.

"Ah, right away, Sect Leader," responded Ding Bai, taken aback.

The bell, a colossal fixture since the founding of the Dao Seeking Sect, was reserved for summoning the elders during pivotal moments. Four tolls signaled a dire emergency, one of life or death for the sect.

Jin Yu, ruler of the Horse Man Galaxy, which neighbored the Solar System, had long-standing ties with Chilian, especially since the Cloud Devouring Beast resided within the Solar System.

Upon receiving Immortal Chilian's urgent message, Jin Yu boarded his spacecraft bound for the Solar System. Traveling at a velocity three thousand times the speed of light, his Level Four vessel reached Earth in under two hours.

Upon his arrival on Earth, Jin Yu was stunned to discover that not only had someone beaten him there, but they were also on a killing spree. After detaining Fu Yuanqing for a thorough interrogation, Jin Yu was filled with shock. He was well-versed in Earth's history, given that the Dao Seeking Sect had stationed him near the Horse Man Galaxy specifically to keep watch over the seal.

The fate of this planet, pivotal to the Dao Seeking Sect's fortunes, had been left to the mercy of a mere disciple who had wreaked havoc and pillaged without restraint.

Jin Yu could already sense the Sect's fury brewing.

"Hmph, the audacity you have, to harbor such murderous intent," Jin Yu muttered, barely containing his desire to execute this spoiled heir on the spot.

"Sir, doesn't the first to discover a planet have the right to claim it?" Fu Yuanqing pleaded from where he lay trembling on the ground.

"You claim to be the first to discover a planet with ancient relics, a diverse population of eight billion? It's not even my place to deal with you," Jin Yu remarked with a wry chuckle.

Just then, he received a message from Immortal Chilian. Turning to his subordinates, he commanded, "Lock them up. No visitors allowed, and make sure they don't die."

"Sir, my father is Fu Langming, at the Golden Core Stage, and I am his sole heir. Please, I implore you to release me," Fu Yuanqing begged as he was led away, tears streaming down his face, while Shi Er lay prostrate and defeated.

"Worthless. Your father won't escape either," Jin Yu spat out bitterly. He felt a pang of responsibility for not discovering the situation sooner and was now contemplating how to rectify it.

After Jin Yu had informed all of Earth's inhabitants and internet communications were restored, Chu Xing reached out to Chu Hao and made his way to the outskirts of the capital city.

"Chu Hao, where have you been hiding?" Chu Xing inquired, his voice tinged with concern.

"I've been in the capital's underground bunkers; there are many subway lines, and we move frequently," Chu Hao explained. "And you?"

"I've been relocating around Shennongjia. But let's not dwell on that; it's in the past. Any updates on the aliens?" Chu Xing asked, preferring to avoid the painful memories of Shennongjia.

"The government has advised us to await further news. They're in talks with the extraterrestrials, and rumor has it a high-ranking official is on their way," Chu Hao shared, his curiosity piqued.

"I hope all is well now."

"All's well. I've heard the aliens look just like us and they're easy to talk to. Our ancestors were probably aliens," Chu Hao said cheerfully. "Come on, let's head to my place."

"Let's go."

They made their way to a corner of the underground bunker and met up with two of Chu Hao's friends, Gao Wei and Wang Youfeng, both of whom were at the Qi Training First Layer.

"Where is everyone else? Did they go out?" Chu Xing inquired.

"They're gone. Some died in the explosion, others were killed," Gao Wei murmured, his voice low. Chu Hao and Wang Youfeng remained silent.

"It's all in the past. We'll get through this together," Chu Xing offered, trying to sound comforting despite not knowing quite what to say.

"Chu Xing!" A crisp voice called out.

Turning, Chu Xing saw Lin Miaoke, with her father Lin Tianhe standing beside her. Her long hair was simply tied back, and she stood tall in her snug athletic wear, looking efficient and capable, though her complexion was somewhat pale.

"Chu Xing, so you two know each other," Lin Tianhe approached with a warm smile.

"Hello, Uncle Lin. We've met a few times before. I'm still grateful for Lin Miaoke's assistance last time," Chu Xing replied with a smile, giving Lin Miaoke a nod. She returned the gesture with a slight smile, her gaze tinged with curiosity towards Chu Xing.

"It's the least I could do. You're my lifesaver. I'm relieved to see you're okay. Come with me; I haven't had the chance to properly thank you yet," Lin Tianhe offered enthusiastically.

"No, you must be busy now. Let's catch up another time. I've just reunited with my friends," Chu Xing demurred.

"I do have matters to attend to, but next time it's a promise. Here's some exciting news: you'll be able to go to the universe for cultivation soon. That's reliable information," Lin Tianhe said with a smile, giving Chu Xing a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

"Is that so? That's fantastic news!" Chu Xing couldn't hide his elation at the prospect of finally venturing into the universe.

"Haha, well then, we'll take our leave first."

"Goodbye, Chu Xing," Lin Miaoke said, her smile warm as she bid him farewell.

"Goodbye," Chu Xing responded, smiling back.

Chu Hao and his companions were jubilant at the news that they could journey to the cosmos for their cultivation. Chu Xing, too, was filled with anticipation.
