C29 Entering the School

"Ah, what kind of creature is that?"

"It's a talking demon."

"The selection of TV shows here is so rich. What do they all mean?"

"Not too many skyscrapers around here!"

Chu Hao and Wang Youfeng were exclaiming at the television. Chu Xing watched for a bit too, noting the architecture was quite different from Earth's, with a wide variety of styles. Plus, the TV dramas featured demons as characters, adding a touch of novelty.

"The vastness of the universe never ceases to amaze!" Chu Xing mused.

"Dao Seeking Sect's eighty-fifth elementary school will reach its destination in ten minutes. Please, students, assemble at the spacecraft's entrance," the spacecraft's AI voice announced abruptly.

"That was quick! Has it only been about six hours?" Chu Hao wondered aloud.

"Remember, we're aboard a cosmic vessel; anything's possible," Wang Youfeng said, giving Chu Hao a knowing look.

"Alright, I was just marveling. Let's go have a look outside!" Chu Hao proposed.

"Let's go!"

A crowd had gathered in the corridor, all heading toward the spacecraft's entrance, driven by the same curiosity as Chu Xing and his companions.

"Gao Fei, we meet again. Are you disembarking?" Chu Xing spotted Gao Fei approaching and was surprised to find him on the same craft.

"I just saw you. Yes, I'm about to disembark. How about you?" Gao Fei stepped up to Chu Xing.

"I'm not sure yet. Who knows when we'll cross paths again," Chu Xing reflected.

"Indeed! Farewell, I must go." After a brief exchange, Gao Fei hurried off.

Chu Xing counted thirty-two people waiting at the door, with Wei Mi overseeing the group.

Soon after, the spaceship's door opened, revealing several individuals in blue attire outside.

"Come on, quickly get to your rooms; we're about to launch," Wei Mi called out.

"Chu Xing, I didn't expect to find you here!" a gentle voice said nearby.

"Lin Miaoke, it's you again," Chu Xing said with a smile, recognizing her.

"Hello, Chu Xing," Zhao Chunyang joined in, approaching them.

"Hello! You're here as well? Are you both at the same school?" Chu Xing inquired, surprised.

"Yeah, we're incredibly fortunate," Zhao Chunyang said with a confident smile, glancing over at Lin Miaoke beside him.

"Chu Xing, which school are you at? I'm at School No. 72," Lin Miaoke asked with a continued smile.

"School No. 32 for me. Let's catch up later; we should head into the room now!" Wei Mi interjected, urging them along.

On the spaceship, they were restricted to the hall and dining room. Chu Xing spent most of his time there cultivating in his room, aside from meal times.

The food was quite similar to Earth's, likely a consideration for their dietary habits.

Wang Youfeng disembarked on the 28th day, followed by Chu Hao on the 40th. Chu Xing bid a heartfelt farewell to Chu Hao, regretting they had no way to stay in touch.

Finally, on the 55th day, it was Chu Xing's turn to leave the spaceship.

Chu Xing observed that thirty people were disembarking, some laden with large and small bags.

At the door, Wei Mi greeted them enthusiastically, "Junior Brothers, welcome to School No. 32. I'll be returning to school myself before long."

"Senior Brother, we're counting on your guidance," many greeted him warmly, while Zhao Ming watched the scene with a discerning eye.

"Absolutely," Wei Mi responded with a beaming smile and a wave of his hand.

Stepping off the spaceship, Chu Xing felt a slight heaviness in his body. He found himself on what resembled a vast hangar, surrounded by several parked spaceships. Two figures stood not too far off.

Zhao Ming briskly took the lead, approaching the two figures with a slight bow. "Teacher, have you come to collect us?" he inquired.

"Yes, follow me," the man replied coolly, turning to lead the way.

Chu Xing noted the man's appearance: in his fifties, with a square face, bushy eyebrows, and a prominent nose, clad in a blue robe.

Beside him was a young man, about eighteen, dressed in a blue short jacket, lips pursed, keeping close behind.

In front of them was an airship, which Chu Xing recognized from a screen. It was capable of traversing land, soaring through the sky, gliding over water, and even navigating underwater.

Airships served as the primary mode of transportation on this planet.

A middle-aged man in a blue robe boarded the airship, which whisked them away. The airship, piloted by advanced AI, hovered about two meters above the ground. Chu Xing and his companions gazed around with curiosity. They had traveled in a spaceship before, but that was in the vastness of space where acceleration obscured all views.

"This is way more comfortable than flying on a plane, and I can adjust the speed at will," Chu Xing remarked, enjoying the airship's ride.

Beyond the hangar lay rows of three-story buildings, their walls a lush green. Soon, the airship came to a halt in front of one such building, facing a sprawling square that stretched over tens of thousands of square meters.

"My name is Dong Mo, and I'm in charge of the school's general affairs. I'll handle the distribution of spirit stones, the exchange of contribution points, and similar matters. Given your unique status, the school will provide each of you with a complimentary smart assistant. For all other school-related matters, Dong Lu will guide you," Dong Mo explained before departing.

"Come with me," Dong Lu instructed, leading the way into the building. A crowd of students had gathered around, watching intently.

Inside, Dong Lu ushered Chu Xing and his group into a room.

"Take one smartwatch each and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Your identity information will be recognized both within the Dao Seeking Sect and across the Federation," Dong Lu said, gesturing toward a box on the table.

"Senior Brother, does this contain any cultivation techniques?" Zhao Ming inquired.

"Cultivation techniques cannot be shared online, but you can use this to make personal recordings," Dong Lu clarified.

Following the prompts, Chu Xing entered his name; Earth was already listed as his birthplace. He then registered his fingerprint and underwent a full-body scan to collect his information.

"Activation complete. Please assign a name," prompted the watch.

"Bei," Chu Xing casually chose.

The smartwatch displayed a sequence of numbers. It could vocalize information upon request or project a blue holographic screen before your eyes—a truly wondrous device.

As Chu Xing and the others were exploring their new gadgets with fascination, a voice from outside sneered, "Are they the ones from Earth? What a bunch of country bumpkins!" Laughter followed the remark.

"Is there any hope for cultivation for those in their thirties?"

"After being imprisoned for thirty thousand years, it's a miracle they aren't deformed!" someone else remarked.

"What if they're kept for research because of their unusual growth?"

"That's uncertain!"

"Enough, everyone disperse," Dong Lu said as he shut the door, regretting his harsh words.

Turning to Chu Xing and the others, he added, "We're all set. Let's move on to the next location."

Hearing this, Chu Xing and his companions looked visibly distressed. Some flushed with embarrassment, feeling insulted and wishing they could vanish. Zhao Ming's face was so mortified he seemed to want to hide it in his chest.

Chu Xing noticed a man outside who appeared to be in charge, with thin lips and a pale complexion. When the man caught Chu Xing's gaze, he sneered and muttered something derisive.

Dong Lu then presented Chu Xing and the group with another storage bag, containing ten Low Grade spirit stones, a set of blue short shirts, and a long blue robe. Chu Xing observed that the storage bag was identical in size and style to those on Earth, and the clothing bore a mountain emblem with "Dao Seeking Sect Primary School No. 32" inscribed beneath it.

"Now with this storage bag, I have three," Chu Xing mused, unsure of what to do with the others.

"The Dao Seeking Sect has acknowledged your recent departure from the planet and has generously provided each of you with ten spirit stones. Use them wisely."

"The school offers teachers in the five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Classes are held weekly, though the schedule varies. You've been added to the school system, which will send reminders when it's time for class. Special students will receive individual notifications."

"The school is equipped with a gravity training room, a Challenge Tower, and a Spiritual Qi room. Familiarize yourselves with these through the school system. Keep in mind that you get one free entry to both the gravity training room and the Spiritual Qi room. For those seeking practical experience, a forest nearby provides an opportunity for real combat."

"Many of the school's facilities require contribution points, which you can earn and spend within the school or throughout the Dao Seeking Sect. It's up to you to discover how to acquire these points."

"I'll show you to your accommodations now," Dong Lu stated without emotion, then headed outside.

Chu Xing and his companions boarded the airship, soaring toward the school. Roughly fifteen minutes later, the airship came to a halt.

"Just ahead is the dormitory area. Many houses are vacant, so feel free to pick any. Don't wander off; many Foundation Stage students live in the far end. That's it, you can disembark now! If you have any questions, consult the school system," Dong Lu instructed deliberately.

"Senior Brother, we're heading out then?" someone asked, sounding unsure.

"Mhm."

Once everyone had disembarked, the airship departed, leaving them feeling somewhat lost, surprised by the simplicity of their school entry.

"Do you guys need any help?" a senior brother inquired, approaching them.

A few gathered around him, while Chu Xing and several others made their way to the dormitory area. After spending half an hour, Chu Xing settled on a house.

The homes here were two-story structures with a hundred-square-meter yard, and the exterior walls were painted red.

Upstairs, there were four rooms and a basement. The furnishings were sparse, just a bed and a desk set.

Chu Xing was pleased; the space was ample. After a quick tidy up, he began to review the materials.
