C14 Chapter 13: He's Serious

Sofia's Point of View :

"I'm home!" Mommy and I looked at Alexus, who had just arrived. He entered the house with a smile and a large suitcase.

"What happened to your husband and it looks like he's going to evacute here?" Mommy asked me a crooked question. I just shrugged too because honestly, I don’t know either.

"Alexus!" I called him because he's now acting like he owns this house. After he arrived, he went upstairs with his suitcase like he's living here.

"Yes wife?" Damn! What's going on with this person? He's smiling like there was no tomorrow. And for the second time he called me wife!

"Stop calling me wife," I told him as I stared at him fiercely.

"Why, you're really my wife, aren't you?" Why? Did he forget our agreement? He don't need to treat me like this, because he doesn’t know what's the impact of it on me.

Damn Alexus! I'm falling even harder with you. I should have killed my feelings for him but it's hard to do, especially since this is the first time I've fallen in love.

"Mom, I'll just follow Alexus upstairs." I asked mom's permission. Mom just gave me a strange smile and look that made me cringe.

"Sofia, it's still early! We haven't had dinner yet," she teased me.

"Mommy!"

"I'm just kidding," I just sighed and then went up the stairs. I found Alexus lying on my bed as if its belongs to him. He's really feel at home!

"Hey what are you doing?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"Lying down, what do you think?" I rolled my eyes because of his answer.

"Wait, what's your plan? Why did you brought your things here?" I asked him directly.

"As what I've said, we'll be living together. We'll be living together in the same house, and sleeping together in the same bed. But since you don't want to live with me on my condo, so I just decided to live here with you, at least we can still be with Mommy, right?"

I stunned because of what I've heard from him. While saying those words, it seems so serious. He sounds serious—but why does it brings doubts on me? It feels like, I shouldn't believe on his words because it'll be hurt me.

"Why are you doing all of this?" I asked out of nowhere.

"Why? Isn't everything clear yet?" He asked me back with a smile on his lips. I blinked and shook my head.

"Alexus! It's clear to me that this wedding of ours is fake, and—"

"Hep! Hep! Hep!" He covered my mouth with his finger so I couldn't continue what I was supposed to say.

"I'm confused Alexus," I said seriously.

"Does Nicole know all of this? Did she agreed?" I asked confusingly.

"Stop!" I was shocked when he shouted at me. Whenever I mentioned Nicole to him, he was always annoyed and he changed the subject.

"I'm sorry," I apologized because based on his behavior it seemed like a sin for me to ask him about Nicole.

"I'm sorry too, let's not talk about her first. The important thing for now is, we're together. We're happy," he said and it brings different emotions and feelings to me.

Happiness, fear, doubts, and pain. I don't know. I'm confused.

"Children, come down and we'll have dinner!" It's mom.

"All right, mom!" I got up first to go out but before I could do that Alexus pulled me causing me to get out of balance and run after him.

"I want to love you Sofia," he whispered to me as he gently stroked my hair. I don't know what to answer so I remain silent at all.

After we ate I was left in the kitchen to put away what we had eaten and wash the dishes.

"Sofia, I'll go up first. You and Alexus will have to close the house," mommy said goodbye.

"All right mom, good night."

"Good night mommy Syl," Alexus greeted as well.

"Good night to you too," When momny came up, I continued washing the dishes. But I was stunned after Alexus hugged me from behind.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Hugging you," he answered.

"I know, what I mean is why are you doing this?"

"Why, is it bad?"

"Alexus, maybe you forgot, all of this is fake! Whatever we have now, there is a limit on it, so please, don't train me,"

"Wife as what I've said earlier, I want to love you." He said.

"Means?" I asked to make things clear.

"Yes, we started with a contract which is fake—but I can make our wedding documents legit anytime." I laughed to what he have said.

Yes, he can do it anytime—and that is if learn how to love me, but if he did not, I'll ended up assuming things from him especially his love. So, it's me who will be hurt and broken in the future.

"Wow! Isn't that unfair on my part? Because what if I got used to you and then you didn't learn to love me? What about me Alexus?"

"You're not hard to love Sofia," I looked into his eyes after saying the words that give so much pleasure to my heart now.

Before I could completely drown in this pleasure I felt, I turned my back on him. I can't handle a scene like this, I feel like any time I will lose my breath with my heart beating so fast.

"I'm going to close the gate," he said.

"All right," I continued what I was doing and when I finished we also went upstairs.

We're now in the same bed, lying side by side.

"Good night wife," he quickly kissed my forehead after he said good night to me.

"G-good night," I stuttered in response to him. He’s hugging me now so I don’t know how I’m going to move. Whether I hug him back or go to sleep forever. Eventually I decided to hug him too.

Before I finally closed my eyes I let out a sweet smile on my lips.
