Lin Chen eyed the instructor's formidable build, clenched his teeth, and raised his hand:

"Instructor, I have to disagree with you!"

Swish!

All eyes in the room pivoted to Lin Chen, filled with surprise, confusion, and a hint of schadenfreude.

The instructor's brow furrowed:

"Step forward!"

At the command, Lin Chen left the ranks, meeting the instructor's gaze with a defiant stare.

He was determined not to be outmatched in presence!

"Do you have any objections?"

The instructor queried.

Lin Chen spoke deliberately:

"You just said we're so frail that we couldn't withstand a single punch from you. I disagree with that statement. That's why I'm challenging you to a match, Instructor!"

The instructor paused, taken aback, while the other students gasped in astonishment.

Did they hear that right? Lin Chen challenging the instructor?

Where did he get such audacity?

Yet Lin Chen remained unfazed, because as soon as he finished his challenge, the system notification popped up:

Congratulations, host, for completing the mission and acquiring the ultimate combat skill. Would you like to use it now?

Lin Chen's thoughts flickered.

Activate!

Boom!

A torrent of combat knowledge flooded Lin Chen's brain, as if he had years of fighting experience under his belt!

Simultaneously, his body brimmed with power, ready to burst forth.

The instructor smirked at Lin Chen's slender frame.

"Are you sure you want to take me on? I'm worried my punch might just knock you flat."

Lin Chen stood his ground, limbering up his joints.

"Try and knock me down then, Instructor."

The instructor chuckled with irritation, then charged with his fist raised.

Lin Chen sidestepped, and with a fluid motion, executed a shoulder throw, sending the instructor crashing to the ground.

The crowd was stunned!

What had they just witnessed?

Lin Chen had just taken down the instructor?

It was almost too shocking to believe!

The dazed instructor on the ground quickly collected himself.

"Not bad, kid. You've got some moves!"

With that, he launched himself at Lin Chen once more.

This time, he wasn't about to underestimate his opponent again.

As his adversary charged, Lin Chen executed a swift leg sweep, sending the instructor to the ground once more!

"Nice!"

A wave of enthusiastic cheers erupted from the students.

"Awsl! Lin Chen is so cool. Totally crushing on him!"

"He's the epitome of manliness! I feel so safe just watching him!"

"Holy cow, Lin Chen is next-level awesome!"

The instructor picked himself up and conceded:

"Kid, you've got skills. I can't beat you, I give up!"

"Much appreciated."

With those words, Lin Chen intended to rejoin the line.

But the instructor called out to him.

"Hold on a second."

Lin Chen looked back, puzzled:

"What's up?"

The instructor explained:

"Here's the thing, I see potential in you. How about becoming my teaching assistant?"

Huh?

Teaching assistant?

Lin Chen was taken aback.

"Being an assistant means you'll help me train them. You won't have to do the drills yourself, you can chill in a cooler spot, and best of all, you'll earn extra credits!"

The instructor laid out the offer.

Lin Chen nodded in agreement:

"Sounds good to me."

The other students were green with envy.

Why was it that in the same nine years of compulsory education, Lin Chen got to do the training while they got trained?

They longed for some shade too!

The instructor caught their longing looks:

"Jealous? Beat me, and you can have the same deal."

The crowd went silent.

Beat the instructor? That was a laugh!

From then on, Lin Chen's life got a lot easier. All he had to do was lead the chants and oversee the training.

Pure bliss!

Just then, Lin Chen spotted a familiar figure in the distance signaling to him.

He informed the instructor and stepped out of line to approach.
