C19 It Is Time to Treat the Senior Sister to a Meal

Lin Chen instinctively rushed to her aid.

"Are you okay?" Lin Chen inquired.

Su Mo shook her head, tears brimming in her eyes, her lips white with pain.

"My ankle... I think it's sprained," she whispered.

Lin Chen quickly knelt to examine her injury and saw her ankle was significantly swollen.

He immediately informed the instructor and escorted her to the infirmary.

Along the way, Su Mo glanced up at Lin Chen's resolute jawline, her heart pounding uncontrollably.

After they left the infirmary, Lin Chen walked her to the base of her dormitory building.

"Can you make it up on your own?" Lin Chen asked.

Su Mo nodded, "I'll manage."

She hesitated, then added, "Thank you, Lin Chen."

Lin Chen offered a reassuring smile, "Actually, I feel responsible. If I hadn't been chasing you, you wouldn't have fallen."

At his words, Su Mo's anxiety spiked, and she blurted out, "It's not your fault!"

Lin Chen paused, puzzled by her intense reaction.

Realizing her outburst, Su Mo quickly clarified, "It's not your fault, I was just... not careful."

"Anyway, I should head back!" she said abruptly and hobbled into the dormitory.

Reaching the second floor, she peered out the window down at the courtyard, only to find Lin Chen's figure gone, leaving her with a faint sense of loss.

...

The days of military training flew by.

All the boys in the class, except Lin Chen, had darkened several shades.

Lin Chen, exercising on the villa gym's treadmill, came to a halt.

Beep! Congratulations to the host for triggering the storyline mission: Invite Soong Qingwan to dinner, with a reward of 30% shares in Jiacheng Company!

Sitting on the bench, Lin Chen almost forgot he owed Soong Qingwan a meal.

It was her sunscreen, after all, that had saved him from a sunburned fate.

He pulled out his phone and sent a WeChat message to Soong Qingwan.

"Senior, when are you free? I still owe you a meal," Lin Chen messaged.

Soong Qingwan responded in a flash: How about tomorrow at noon?

Lin Chen: Sounds good.

He had no classes the entire next day.

...

The following day, a Rolls-Royce Phantom sat parked beneath the girls' dormitory, drawing gasps of admiration from passersby.

"Isn't this car just too cool? Looks incredibly pricey!"

"That's a Rolls-Royce Phantom, probably worth nearly ten million!"

"Wow! Is this some rich young master waiting for his girlfriend?"

...

From the driver's seat, Lin Chen sent a voice message to Soong Qingwan, inquiring when she would be coming down. Right after sending it, he saw her descending the stairs.

Today, Soong Qingwan seemed to have dressed with care, donning a white off-the-shoulder dress, her hair up in a bun with wispy bangs framing her cheeks, accentuating the petite nature of her face.

Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, she caught sight of the striking Rolls-Royce Phantom and headed straight toward it, leaving onlookers in shock.

"What's happening? Is this car here for the campus belle Soong?"

"Isn't School Beauty Soong not into dating? Could it be she's been swept off her feet by a Rolls-Royce Phantom heir?"

"Turns out, all that talk about not dating was just talk!"

...

Lin Chen stepped out and graciously opened the car door for her.

Soong Qingwan bit her lip, hesitating, but ultimately slid into the passenger seat.

This was her dream car; she was dying to take it for a spin!

Noticing Soong Qingwan's glances towards the driver's seat, Lin Chen offered:

"Senior, want to give it a whirl?"

Her eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Really?"

Lin Chen nodded, exited the vehicle, and they swapped places.

Behind the wheel of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Soong Qingwan was thrilled. As she floored the accelerator, the roar of the V12 engine burst forth, her excitement painting her cheeks a rosy hue.

Lin Chen reclined in his seat, a playful tone in his voice:

"Who knew our senior was such a pro behind the wheel?"
