C23 The Transfer of Shares Ceremony
"Okay."
With that, Jiang Lili headed straight into the cubicle and shut the door behind her.
Lin Chen sipped his tea as he took in the surroundings of Jiang Lili's office.
He was impressed by her taste; the office was arranged comfortably and adorned with several elegant paintings.
Soon after, Jiang Lili emerged in a white shirt, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Sorry about that," she said with a sheepish grin.
Lin Chen shook his head dismissively.
"No problem at all."
"We should head to the meeting room to begin the equity transfer ceremony," Jiang Lili suggested.
"Sounds good."
As they stepped out, they were greeted by their secretary, Zhang Yuanyuan, who had been waiting outside.
"Chairman, everything in the meeting room is set up. We're just waiting for you and Mr. Lin," she informed them.
While speaking, her eyes inadvertently darted to Jiang Lili's shirt.
Unaware of her secretary's fleeting curiosity, Jiang Lili simply nodded.
"Alright, got it."
With that, she led Lin Chen toward the meeting room.
Zhang Yuanyuan couldn't help but wonder—hadn't Director Jiang worn a different outfit earlier today?
And with the pair having spent so much time inside, accompanied by those odd noises...
Now, as they emerged, Director Jiang was sporting a new shirt, her cheeks tinged with a blush.
Connecting the dots, Zhang Yuanyuan clasped her hand over her mouth in astonishment.
How thrilling was this?
...
Oblivious to Zhang Yuanyuan's thoughts, Jiang Lili and Lin Chen entered the conference room to a standing ovation. They made their way to the head of the table and took their seats.
The room was abuzz at the sight of Lin Chen. The man who had just invested half a billion was remarkably young.
The comparison was disheartening—while they were his age, they were probably still in school, yet Mr. Lin was already a major shareholder of a company!
"Please, everyone, be seated," Jiang Lili instructed.
Lin Chen stole a few more glances at Jiang Lili, intrigued by her commanding presence. She exuded an air of regal authority, yet he knew her playful side was as sly as a fox.
As Jiang Lili turned back, her eyes met Lin Chen's.
"These are the senior executives of Jiacheng."
Lin Chen gave a nod but remained silent.
Jiang Lili continued to address the crowd:
"I'm sure you're all aware of the recent crisis at Jiacheng, where we faced a break in our capital chain. Thanks to Mr. Lin's investment of five hundred million yuan, we were able to weather this storm."
"Mr. Lin Chen is nothing short of a savior to our entire company."
Her words were met with a burst of enthusiastic applause.
Lin Chen could tell that everyone was hanging on her every word, not a single person lost in thought.
It was clear they held this charismatic CEO in high regard.
Lin Chen then rose to his feet, offering a few polite remarks before moving on to the next item on the agenda—the share transfer ceremony.
Sun Feifei approached with a tray bearing several documents and two pens for signing.
Jiang Lili signed first, her signature both graceful and assertive.
Lin Chen's signature, in contrast, was vigorous and bold, reminiscent of a dragon and snake in motion.
Watching his signature appear on the large screen, Jiang Lili found herself increasingly impressed by him.
Why was it that Lin Chen seemed to grow more intriguing by the minute?
Once the ceremony concluded, Lin Chen was escorted out by the senior executives.
At the door, Jiang Lili made an impromptu invitation:
"How about we go for a meal? You've been a tremendous help, and I'd like to treat you."
"Sure."
Lin Chen agreed without hesitation.
...
At the entrance of the East Ocean Pearl Hotel, they were greeted by a familiar voice.
"Jiang Lili?"
