C2 Chapter 2

This Saturday, Ruru and I decided to go to the mall first.

"Which mall?" I asked Ruru on the other line. I am now in front of the dresser and combing my long hair. I was wearing a black sleeveless fitted top and a ragged fitted jeans.

" Shangri-la. Let's just meet at the exit?"

"Okay." then I hung up. When I went downstairs, I immediately saw mama.

"Mom, I'm leaving. I'll buy the requirements for school." I said goodbye and kissed her on the cheek and took a sandwich ready on the table.It's four o'clock this afternoon. She glanced at me before she spoke.

"You came home early huh? Don't stay up late." she smiled.

"Yes mom."

"Oh, wait." She stopped and took something in her wallet. "Here, you go." she reached a thousand.

I looked over there. We are not rich but we eat three meals a day.

"Don't worry mom, I still have money. Just keep it." I smiled to her.

I took a taxi and headed to Shangri-la. Inside the taxi I couldn’t help but think of Damon.

From the fourth year of high school when I stalked him until my first year of college, I never stop chasing him. Back then, his body wasn't very bulky but at first glance you knew he was intimidating. His eyebrows always furrowed and always serious. But now he was smiling! I saw him smiling with his friends!

Maybe because of Natalia? Ever since he met Natalia he has been different. His hard features became soft. He was very playboy then. I can’t help but compare myself to Natalia.

She's tall while I'm not. She's feisty while I'm weak. She's beautiful and I'm .... cute. I heaved a sigh.

"Why are you quiet?" Ruru asked. We are now in the Shangri la foodcourt. I pouted I chewed my food first before speaking.

"Damon threw my cookies last time." I said softly. Ruru witnessed my possession and effort on Damon. She sighed violently and rolled her eyes.

"Well, what's new? Zand, you know Damon already with Natalia, you know? We saw how crazy Damon to her. ” she drank some water before speaking."Don't push yourself if he doesn't want to, you have a lot of suitors! There's Isaac, Ryle, and Kid!"

"But Damon is different. I don't know if he would have noticed me a little." I started eating again.

"You are really crazy! But whatever you do. I'm just here." She smiled and held my hand.

Sometimes having a friend is a big help. You can have a shoulder to cry on. You can share your problems. And you can have a partner in your craziness.

We were walking inside the mall while I was holding a frappe and in one hand I had my paper bag filled with the contents of my requirements.

"What sports will you choose Zand?" Ruru asked busy on her cellphone.

"Volleyball, you?"

"Volleyball too."

Ever since then I've noticed that people look at us? Or Ruru? Do we have dirt on our faces?

"Oh! It’s Ryle oh." Ruru pointed to Ryle near the mall exit.

Unlike Damon, I felt nothing else. My heart had no reaction. Damon had my heart pounding and I could hardly breathe.

"Hi Zands! Hello Ru!" Ryle greeted us as he approached us. We smiled back.

"Are you going home now?" He walked with us out.

"Ah, yeah." I'm embarrassed to say. Ru is busy with her cellphone again.

"I'll drive you? I'll go home now." he said when we were at the exit of the mall.

The afternoon wind blew. It's getting dark too, sign that night is coming.

"Ah, okay, it's already night." Ruru answered and she giggled and glanced at me.

I rolled my eyes. Ryle is next to me and says something to Ruru. I look at the people at the exit of the mall.I was shocked to see Damon looking me. He was leaning on his Chevrolet and smoking. He is not alone , he's with Clinton, his cousin!

Does he smoke? Ruru and Ryle can't see him because they're on their back, while i'm facing Damon and Clinton.

My heart pounded when I saw his dark stare. I was shocked when Clinton pointed at me. What? Why was I taught?

"Can I invite you tomorrow night?" Ryle asked me.

"Where?" I asked him but the truth,he didn't get my attention.

I glanced again at Damon's direction and I almost fell. He is looking at me intentl! His brooding eyes telling me he's dangerous!

I don't know why he threw a sharp look at me! I didn't do anything wrong! Maybe he was angry because of my cookies then? But he threw that away, didn't he? I must be the one to get angry!

I averted my gaze.

"It's my birthday.We are going to celebrate a little. Only on Twilite."

"Really ? Sure! Expect Zandria and me there. " I laughed because Ruru answered.

"Is that okay?" Ryle asked me.

I pouted and nodded. "All right."

Ryle smiled. I looked at Damon's place again. Only to find out that he was still looking at me.

What? I almost fainted from the beating of my chest. Clinton said something to him and Damon shook his head and Clinton laughed.

Is he really like that?

God! Just seeing Damon right now , I'm happy.

Ryle drive us home.

I'm staring at the ceiling now thinking what can I do again for Damon?

I maybe look like stupid thinking about this. Even if he has a girlfriend, it's okay with me. Where he is happy I will support him.

I just hope he notices me and my effort once in a while. Why can't he do that? If others are counting sheep to sleep. I, on the other hand, was the thought of Damon that made me sleep.

Until my dream he was still there. Damn, I'm crazy thinking about him!
