C6 Not The Room, But Heart

Ivy shook her head immediately. You can see her awkward and very stiff smile thrown by her to Lucy and also Lilyana.

"Please drink," said Liliyana, inviting her guests to drink the banquet she had prepared.

Tea in cups and some snacks such as biscuits were also present on the guest table. Lucy immediately took the tea cup closest to her and took a sip of the tea.

"Mmm." Lucy seems to enjoy tea with a distinctive fragrance. The woman then said, "Your tea is still delicious, Lily. Ed Shane must be very happy because you can make tea every day."

It seems that Lilyana smiled shyly, she rubbed her hands on her thighs.

Making tea has always been her specialty. Her late mother used to make tea every morning and evening for Gladwin. When her mother was making tea for her father, Lilyana was always there to see how good tea was made.

Until finally, as time went by, little Lilyanan grew up and the woman wanted to make her own tea.

"By the way ... what's wrong with your womb, Lily?" asked Lucy after putting the teacup back on the table.

For a few seconds, the atmosphere in the five by six meter living room seemed silent. No one spoke and Lilyana also didn't give an answer yet.

The sound of Lilyana's rough breathing could be heard clearly. The woman's eyes glanced briefly at Ed Shane who was also in the living room.

"Oh, my wife really doesn't want to be quiet. When she was pregnant she always did a lot of work, she even did her monthly shopping herself and brought home lots of plastic bags and they were all full. She was very tired, not only that she also really loves animals," explained Ed Shane at length.

As long as Ed Shane was talking, Lilyana kept looking at her husband. Her eyes were full of scorn towards the man who was speaking lies.

If only Lilyana didn't have a heart and felt sorry for her husband, Lilyana would have chosen to tell what she was really thinking.

"Hmm, I see. Later it's better if you don't have to do anything, Lilyana. You'd better ask Ed Shane to find a household assistant." Lucy explained giving advice.

"Yes, of course, Lucy. Later if Lilyana manages to get pregnant again, I will take extra care of her. I'll make sure she won't get tired."

"You are the ideal husband type, Ed. Am I right, Ivy?" Lucy's eyes now turned to Ivy who was sitting next to her.

"Huh? Ah, y-yes," said Ivy, the woman looked nervous.

While Lucy seemed to smile triumphantly because she had succeeded in bringing Ivy together with Ed Shane directly in front of Lilyana, something she had expected while working Ivy for Ed Shane.

"Then ... what next?" asked Lucy this time sound ambiguous.

"How's it going, Lucy?" asked Lilyana with a smile.

"When are you guys going to have another baby? Hihihi," said Lucy with an innocent laugh.

Hearing this question, Lilyana and Ed Shane looked at each other for a few seconds before finally Lilyana looked away again.

"Just wait for the good news later, Lucy." Lilyana said a little shyly.

"Hahahaha, don't you want to hurry up a bit, Lily?" asked Lucy with an expression that looked so satisfied.

"I don't think so, I'm still traumatized," said Lilyana, answering Lucy's question by briefly glancing sharply at Ed Shane.

"Humm, I see. Be patient, Lily." Lucy said with a sad expression on her face.

"I've been very patient with everything, Lucy. Please pray for me to be even more patient," said Lilyana, still occasionally glancing sharply at Ed Shane.

Meanwhile Ed Shane just looked down. It seemed that the man also regretted his actions. But Lucy was sure that this man could never feel guilty seriously. The guilt that Ed Shane felt lasted only a few days.

"Of course I'll always be praying for you, Lily." Lucy said, smiling.

Lucy's eyes turned towards Ivy, who had been silent and lowered her head, just like what Ed Shane had done.

"Ivy." Lucy called in a gentle tone of voice.

Ivy, who had been lowering her head this time, raised her eyes slightly to look at Lucy. "What is it?"

"Aren't you going to offer your condolences to my good friend?" Lucy said still in a very gentle tone of voice.

"Oh, y--yes." Ivy looks so nervous.

Ivy's eyes immediately looked at Lilyana who had been watching Lucy and Ivy. "Eum, i--i feel i--so sorry, Li--"

Ivy stopped her sentence, the woman turned back to Lucy.

"My name is Lilyana, just call me Lily to sound more familiar." Lily explained without being asked.

"Oh, so--sorry. I--I'm so-so sorry for your baby, Lily," said Ivy, who looked even more nervous.

"Relax, why so nervous?" asked Lilyana, her eyes looking at Ivy.

Ivy immediately shook her head. "No, I was just ... thinking about something."

"You can share your thoughts with me, Ivy." Lily said casually.

"Um, n--no. I don't feel ready." Ivy said, smiling to cover up her nervousness.

As the night wore on, it was now eleven o'clock in the night. The atmosphere in the housing was so quiet, only Gladwin's house whose door was still open and there were several people in the living room.

"Lily, maybe I should go home now," said Lucy.

"Now?" Lily, who had seemed relaxed, suddenly looked surprised.

"Yeah, it's very late. I feel tired, and so does Ivy. Isn't it?" Lucy glanced at her coworker for a moment.

"Y--yes, I--I feel tired." Ivy said smiling.

"Okay, let me take you to the front," said Lilyana, who then got up from her seat.

Everyone in the living room got up from their seats. Everyone then walked towards the front of Gladwin's house.

"Take good care of yourself, Lilyana," said Lucy while hugging her best friend for a few moments.

"Thank you, Lucy." Lilyana replied.

"Ed, open the gate, Honey." Lilyana said after her hug on Lucy's body was released.

Ed followed his wife's words. The man immediately opened the gate. At the same time, Lucy and Ivy also got into the car.

BEP! BEP!

The car horn sounded twice as the car was about to leave Gladwin's gate. At that moment, Ed Shane brought his face closer to the glass of the car door where Lucy was.

"How insolent you are, Lucy!" Ed Shane said firmly.

"Pay your arrears last month if you don't want me to do worse!" Lucy didn't want to lose.

Suddenly the sound of thunder boomed beyond the horizon after which a quick flash of lightning brightened the dark earth for a moment. After that, a sudden downpour of rain was so heavy.

"Lucy, Lucy ... rainstorm. You better stay here."
