C9 The President Is My Husband?

Su Kexin was employed at a magazine agency, and their latest assignment was to interview the elusive president of Chiyao Group.

In S City, Chiyao Group had become something of a legend. Just three years ago, it burst onto the scene with a forceful presence, swiftly carving out a niche for itself in the city's financial sector. In the span of those few years, the company, which seemed to have materialized out of thin air, rapidly grew into one of the largest financial conglomerates in S City, rivaling the influence of the three historically prominent families.

The president of Chiyao Group, however, was an enigma that intrigued people even more than the corporation. After three years, not only was his background a mystery, but his very name and face remained unknown.

This air of mystery only fueled the public's fascination with the secretive executive. Take Xiaomei, for instance. Upon learning about the upcoming interview with the president of Chiyao Group, she went all out with her attire.

Su Kexin couldn't help but chuckle at her colleague's efforts. "Xiaomei, are you that eager to make an impression on the president of Chiyao? What if he turns out to be a balding old man?" she joked.

Xiaomei, visibly annoyed, stamped her foot. "No way! The rumors all say that the CEO of Chiyao Group is incredibly young, a bona fide diamond bachelor!"

While Xiaomei was brimming with anticipation, Ms. Zheng, standing nearby, adopted a more serious tone. "We can't squander this rare interview opportunity. We need to be thoroughly prepared. Keep in mind, this is the first time the CEO of Chiyao has agreed to a media interview. If we manage to snap his photo, our magazine's sales could soar to unprecedented heights."

Su Kexin nodded in agreement.

Indeed, the CEO of Chiyao Group had never before consented to an interview. Their initial request had been flatly rejected, and no one knew what changed the CEO's mind. Out of the blue, he had called the previous day, consenting to the interview.

This unexpected turn of events had taken their editor by surprise, feeling as though they had just caught a lucky break. After a final review of the interview questions, Su Kexin, Ms. Zheng, and Xiaomei, accompanied by their photographer, set off for the headquarters of Chiyao Group.

Chiyao Group's headquarters towered in the financial district of S City. After a brief exchange with the receptionist on the ground floor, Su Kexin and her companions took the elevator straight to the top floor.

"Are you from Feng Shang Magazine?" The executive assistant in the CEO's office greeted them as they stepped out of the elevator. "Director Gu has been expecting you."

She ushered them into the CEO's office as she spoke.

Director Gu?

Su Kexin paused, taken aback.

She hadn't anticipated that the enigmatic CEO of Chiyao Group would share a surname with her new husband.

Entering the office, Xiaomei clung to Su Kexin, her voice barely above a whisper, "Is my hair okay? Is it a mess?"

Trying to suppress a chuckle, Su Kexin reassured her, "No, it's perfect. You look beautiful..."

Mid-sentence, Su Kexin's gaze drifted curiously around the office. However, her eyes locked onto a figure by the panoramic window, and she froze, her response to Xiaomei left hanging.

Xiaomei's attention had also shifted to the man by the window, and she momentarily forgot Su Kexin, her voice a hushed awe, "Oh my god, the CEO of Chiyao Group... he's... in a wheelchair?"

Before Su Kexin could react, the wheelchair began to pivot.

Xiaomei inhaled sharply.

"Wow... This CEO of Chiyao is unbelievably handsome! He's even more striking than a movie star!"

Xiaomei's initial shock about the wheelchair seemed to vanish as she gushed with admiration.

But Su Kexin wasn't hearing any of it.

Her eyes were fixed on the man by the window, her mind reeling as if struck by lightning.

The sunlight framed his chiseled features, highlighting his impeccable visage, his dark eyes radiating an unwavering chill.

It was Gu Chi.

The CEO of Chiyao Group was none other than Gu Chi!
