C4 Four
However, the class finally started. Trisha and I sat on a bench, Deb was on the bench behind us. I had a boy named Ronnie sitting in front of us. Today, on the first day of college, Madam came to the class at a time when everyone in the class was busy getting to know each other. She was a teacher of social studies. We had both first and second-year students in this class. As soon as Madam entered the class, we stood up and greeted her. He introduced us all. But from this introductory episode, I got to know a girl in the class, whose name was Tanushree Khurana. That girl liked to make fun of everyone. However, I would not say much with the description of the class. If I sit down to write everything, page after page would follow but yet my story would not end.
At the end of the class, I went to Kalahari hill, one of the famous tourist spots of Phulbari, with Trisha. I read in the guidebook that from here many brave people trekking in the mountains. But I don't know if I was able to do that. I was coming down the hill with our tracking equipment with Trisha and Dev. The beauty of the valley surrounded by jungle, from the top of the hill view was amazing. Seeing this, I was overwhelmed with joy in the embrace of this beauty. But the moment I started to descend, instead of joy, fear came to my mind. The height of the hill slope was a lot. I started screaming in fear. Every moment of courage in my mind seemed to disappear into the depths of this valley. But to put it bluntly, in every moment of my life, with conflict in my eyes, I cried out in fear like a frightened child. I kept praying to God to save me from here.
Dev was by my side then. The Trisha was a little farther away. But Dev came to my side and assured me that I don't have to be afraid. Nothing would happen to me, as far as he was here. I was safe to have him. This behaviour of Dev attracted me very much. I hold the mountain rope in one hand and the grip in the other. I don't know what happened to me then but at that time I felt very safe with Dev. But then something happened that changed the course of my life. My life took a new direction.
I hugged Dev in fear. At that time, the rope of my mounting was cut. As soon as the rope was cut, I slipped off the hillside. At that time Dev tried to pull me upholding my hand. He told me to hold his hand tightly, but the atmosphere of fear in my mind did not abate. I slowly let go of Dev's hand. No matter how hard I tried to hold on, my hand no longer listens to me, it's fainting. And finally, my hand left.
As soon as I let go, I fall down the hillside into a forested valley. I thought the days of my life were over. So I started calling on God, but I did not know that my destiny was going to change this time. An unknown part of history was about to be revealed to me.
Just as I was falling off the hill a boy grabbed me down and saved my life. He held me in his arms. It was very dark at the bottom of the valley but I could see his face. There is an impossibly soft gleam in his gaze, the calm nature of his mouth as if he were concentrating on his prey like a hunting lion. His shapely body is designed to attract the heart. He took me down from his lap and left me on the ground and got lost in the unknown wilderness of this foggy mountain. I called him a lot to thank him, but he never looked back at me.
I ran after the boy to thank him. He seemed to be lost in the blink of an eye in the misty forest of the cold surrounded by fog. I came back very disappointed. At that moment, Trisha and Dev came down the slope of the mountain. Seeing me in good health at once, my new friend Trisha seemed to be overjoyed. The sad and troubling image on her face became as bright and soothing as the first rising sun in the morning. She said with tears of joy, "Tia, are you all right? I thought I lost you. What would I do if something happened to you?"
I comforted her and said, "Why are you crying so much! Nothing happened to me. Look, I'm fine."
Then Deb looked at me and observed, "Well, Tia, are you all right? I'm in a lot of trouble. I couldn't protect you."
"Dev, don't worry too much. I'm fine. But have you seen any boy here before? One saved me from falling and then left without saying anything," I said.
But no one believed me. They thought it was in my illusion for falling from above, so I'm wrong. Anyway like that day we got out of there. But I had to get another sock in life, which I got this time. This time the ground seemed to move from under my feet.
