Ann Jiaxin wiped the tears off her face with the back of her hand and heard a sharp female voice behind her.

"Pah!"

Xiao Ling turned around, but before she could see who it was, she had already raised her palm and slapped her beautiful face.

Ann Jiaxin held her burning face, glared at her, and roared.

Ann Jiaxin went to the hospital's canteen to buy two bottles of water. When she was about to go back to the operating room, she saw a little girl standing there, crying as she shouted,

"Mom, where are you? I'm so scared by myself."

"Little friend, where did your mother go?"

She bent over, touched her head and asked with concern.

"Mom went there and hasn't come back yet. Sister, can you help me find Mom?"

The little girl pointed with a finger towards the light green door at the bottom of Building 1, and said with a sobbing tone.

Ann Jiaxin raised her head to look at that direction and said with a smile:

"Alright, big sister will go and find mom for you. Wait for me here."

With that, she strode towards the light green door.

She gently pushed open the light green door and a wave of cold air flowed out, causing her to shiver uncontrollably.

"Is anyone there?"

She crossed her arms over her chest and took a small step into the room. She whispered through the dim light, but the door was closed at that moment.
