“What did you do that for?” I asked angrily, my nose flaring as I stared at him.

“What did I do that for?” he repeated, his voice rising. “Because it’s absurd! You can’t just walk out on me, Audrey.”

“You’re not going anywhere. You’re not resigning,” He said slowly, exasperation clear in his tone, as he tossed the shredded paper into the waste bin beside him.

“I’m not tied to this place
