C9 Misunderstanding

Madison's POV

"Oh my God,"

"Did she just throw up on Adrian?"

"What an attention seeker,"

I could hear people making all sorts of comments, and Adrian just stood there, looking at me with a shocked expression. He opened his mouth, seemingly trying to say something, but then closed it.

What do I do now? What should I do? What would Violet have done in this situation?

My mind went blank in the face of my own embarrassment. This was one of those moments when I wished the ground would open up and swallow me whole. Without thinking twice, I closed my eyes and dropped to the ground.

I silently prayed not to land on the hard floor, and as if the heavens were on my side, I felt myself falling into Adrian's rock-hard chest and strong arms.

Damn! I didn't know he was this masculine, fuck that alcohol.

"Madison!" Violet yelled and ran to me.

"What's wrong with her, what did you do to her, what did you say to her!" Violet yelled, I could hear her voice break.

"I didn't do anything," I could feel Adrian's chest vibrating against my face.

"Call an ambulance now!" Violet yelled, I felt her tears fall on my body and my heart instantly broke.

"Take her to one of the rooms and call my doctor now!" Adrian instructed one of his bodyguards.

No, no, I will get caught, what do I do now? I thought of shaking or alerting Violet about my pretense but before I could say anything she acted.

"No, she is pregnant and I cannot allow any doctor to check on her," Violet said amidst tears.

Adrian heaved a sigh, "Okay fine, bring the car to the front,"

Everywhere went silent for a moment, then I heard some giggling and high-pitched voices, I wondered what the noise could be about, I felt Adrian lift up from the ground.

I felt my body on his bare chest, I couldn't breathe properly, now I understand why the people were giggling but nevertheless I refused to move.

We arrived at the car and I was put in the back seat with Violet, I tried opening my eyes to peep, when I felt Violet pinched my skin, it took all my might not to scream out in pain.

"Close your eyes you moron," Violet whispered.

What? She knew I was pretending? That's Violet for me.

"Did you say something?" Adrian asked Violet.

"Yes, I was asking what you said to her before she fainted," Violet asked sternly.

"Why?" Adrian spoke nonchalantly.

"If anything happens to Madison or her child," Violet warned.

"Madison," he cocked his head, "Chill, I just told her she looked like Xavier's girlfriend."

Violet coughed, "X.. Xavier's girlfriend?"

"Maybe i'm mistaken, maybe it's the knockoff," I could hear the mockery in Adrian's voice.

"Knockoff?" I could hear the anger and irritation in Violet's voice and I knew she would explode anytime soon.

"The dress, just three were made, one for my mom, two for my woman and three for my brother Xavier's girlfriend, so definitely the knockoff,"

His woman? Adrian has a woman then what will become of me and my child? At this moment I felt cheated and used and the bastard doesn't even know that.

"Girlfriend," Violet's voice broke.

"Huh?"

"She is Xavier's girlfriend," I instantly opened my eyes.

What is Violet doing right now? My eyes shifted between Violet and Adrian.

"Meaning I was right," I could here the happiness in his voice.

I closed my eyes when we arrived at the hospital, I was put in a stretcher and was taken inside the hospital where I was attending to, afterward I was sent to a private ward to rest.

"How could you!" I yelled at Violet.

"What could I have done? no tell me, what would you have done in that situation!" Violet answered me in the same energy I used to question her.

"You…you just destroyed my life," I raised my head up facing the ceiling and used my middle finger to wipe the tears threatening to fall.

"I didn't mean to, I promise, we will figure it out," Violet's voice became calm as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Figure out what? How? How do I figure out the fact the baby daddy thinks his friend is the father of my child, how do I figure that," I pointed at my tummy, allowing the tears to finally fall.

"You said it yourself, remember, now I will look like a homie jumper, do you get it, I will be the bad person in all of these!" I stomped my feet on the floor out of frustration.

"Madison came down, you are pregnant!" Violet yelled.

"Don't tell me that!" I pointed my fingers at her, warning her, "my life has been ruined!" I pulled my hair and screamed.

I couldn't explain how I felt at this point, I suddenly felt weak, I felt my body on fire, my mind racing, I felt my chest tighten so I clutched onto my dress tightly realizing I couldn't breathe properly.

I gasped for air, I tried taking a step but couldn't, I couldn't move my body, everywhere had become blurry and I felt liquid roll down my leg, I managed to reach my leg to touched it and I realized it was blood, tears rolled down my eyes at the realization of what was happening.

I tried to reach out to Violet who was backing me and facing the window explaining something i'm not even hearing, I tried taking another step but I fell to the ground, when I fell, I manage to fall the hospital tray in my room to bring Violet attention to me.

"Madison!" I heard Violet scream and I saw her rush to me.

"Doctor! nurse!" Violet yelled. I saw her push the bell by my bedside.

I heard her right hand, "Save my baby," I managed to choke out, I didn't even know if she had heard me or not before I passed out.

I tried opening my eyes but the room was too bright but I managed to open my eyes to see I was lying on the bed. I tried moving my body but all I felt was pain.

Tears rolled down my eyes as I Instinctively moved my hand to feel my tummy, not as if I knew what I was doing. I looked around to see Violet sitting beside me and resting her head on the bed.

I saw Andrian sleeping on the couch but I noticed someone sleeping peacefully on the other side of the bed. I turned to see who the fourth person in the room was but he was facing the other side so I moved my hand, making the person move a little.

"Xavier?" My voice barely a whisper.
